Rex Daniel Clay, 54

Rex Daniel Clay, of Antigo, died Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital at the age of 54.
He was born July 25, 1965, son of Mary Jean (Spear) Clay and the late Richard Clay.
He graduated from Antigo High School with the class of 1983. Rex was employed as a furniture maker at Ashley Furniture in Arcadia, WI before moving back to Antigo.
Rex loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was skilled at fixing anything broken. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and working on cars.
Survivors include his significant other, Karen Bliss of Antigo; his son, Cody Clay (Hannah Ostenson) of Antigo; his mother, Mary Jean Clay of Antigo; 3 grandchildren, Caden, Kaleb, and MacKenzie; a sister, Kim (John) Deisinger of Antigo; 6 brothers, Richard Clay (Bette) of Antigo, Randy Clay (Deb) of Antigo, Rodney Clay of Antigo, Robin Clay (Becky) of Bryant, Kevin Clay of Antigo, and Robert Clay (Caroline) of Aikin, SC; an aunt, Ruby Szitta; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, George Packard.
He was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Ross Clay; grandparents Sam and Mary Spear, and Leonard and Edith Clay.
A funeral service to celebrate Rex’s life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19 at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with Pastor Cheryl Rowe officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
