Evelyn J. Laszewski, 80, formerly of Antigo, died on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Autumn Lane CBRF, Birnamwood.
Evelyn was born on May 13, 1939 in International Falls, MN, the daughter of the late Richard Sr. and Ruby (Merrill) Ripley. On June 2, 1956, Evelyn was united in marriage to Clayton Laszewski Sr. in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2019.
Evelyn is survived by five children, Clayton (Linda) Laszewski Jr. of Wausau, Cheryl (Darrell) Nueske of Eland, James (Gina) Laszewski of Weston, Merrill (Randy) Keen of Antigo and Melani (Christopher) Larsen of Merrill, 12 Grandchildren, Michael (Shanna) Laszewski, Nathon Laszewski and Andrew (Samantha) Laszewski, Sabrina (Nicholas) Tews, Angela (Jeremy) Benson, Cassandra (Justin) Kressel and Derek (Ashley) Nueske, Charles Rickett, Christopher (Christie Zell) Laszewski and Benjamin Laszewski, Marlena (Ron) Schisel and Erin (Jeremiah) Nowak; 21 Great Grandchildren Sydnee and Meela Laszewski, Keyton and Brianna Laszewski and Alison Laszewski, Riley and Ethan Tews, Liam, Avery and Chloe Benson, Brinley and Brityn Kressel, Beau Nueske, Brandon Rickett, Peyton Laszewski, Mekenzie, Morgan, Madelyn and Mayzie Schisel and Mason and Owen Nowak. Evelyn is further survived by three siblings, Carolyn Bachand of Appleton, Michael (Ginny) Ripley of Muskego and Susan (Jack Kautza) Janssen of Aniwa and three siblings-in-law, Sally Ripley of Birnamwood, Melvin (Joanie) Laszewski of TN and Patsy Pratt of Muskego and several other relatives and friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clayton Sr., a son Christopher, a great grandson Castan Schisel and a brother Richard Ripley Sr.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood. Rev. Dr. Wes A. Jedras will officiate. Burial will be in St. Philomena Catholic Cemetery, Birnamwood. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11:00am until the time of service at the funeral home.
