Audrey Arlen, 78
Audrey Arlen, of Antigo, died Thursday, April 30, 2020, at home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 78 years old. She was born on September 25, 1941, in White Lake, a daughter of George and Eunice (Krause) Simmons. She married Robert F. Arlen on July 7, 1962, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo. He survives.
She was a graduate of Antigo High School.
Following high school graduation she began working as a beautician at the Mode Beauty Shop. She went on to operate the Mode until 1972.
Mrs. Arlen raised her family in Antigo, was a volunteer for the West Elementary P.T.O. for several years, and a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren.
Her hobbies included snow skiing, following the Green Bay Packers, fishing off the dock with the children and grandchildren, water ski outings with the family and evening pontoon rides.
She spent her summers at Bass Lake and enjoyed winter trips to California and Hawaii.
Survivors including her husband of 58 years, are two sons, Robert P. (Michelle) Arlen, Antigo, Brian J. Arlen, Antigo; three grandchildren Austin, Heather and Tristin Arlen; a brother, Merle Simmons of Appleton; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Edinger, Cincinnati, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Frances Mills and Marie Myers; a brother, George Simmons.
A visitation in compliance with the Safe at Home guidelines will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday May 3, 2020, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at St. Wencel Cemetery in Neva at 2:45 p.m. Monday.
A private funeral Mass will be held at St. John Catholic Church.
