Evelyn L. Adkins, age 99, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Rosalia Gardens under the care of LeRoyer Hospice.

Evelyn was born on July 17, 1920 in Frankfort, South Dakota, a daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Gramberg) Barz. She attended grade school and high school in Mellette, South Dakota.

On December 26, 1941, she was united in marriage to Leonard Adkins in Antigo, WI. Leonard preceded her in death on June 23, 2004.

Evelyn and Leonard owned and operated Langlade Abstract Company from 1962 until retiring in July of 1982.

Evelyn was a member of United Church of Christ in Kempster. She enjoyed volunteering for various organizations, including LeRoyer Hospice, and was a member of Antigo Women’s Club and Bass Lake Country Club.

Evelyn is survived by a grandson Steven Adkins and a granddaughter Kelly Lyn.

In addition to her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by a son; Jim Adkins, sisters; Esther Kolz and Amanda Hawkins, brothers; Evan and Harry Barz.

A graveside service will be held at Lakeside Cemetery in Summit Lake on Monday, June 1 at 11:00 AM.
