ANTIGO, WI—Late last week, Antigo Zeon began delivering free, custom “Take Out” signs to 18 local restaurants to help them promote business during the unprecedented crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“If you love them and you want them to be around later, you need to support them now,” said Steve Friend of Antigo Zeon about local businesses. “This is our home and this community has supported us for years. We wanted to do our part to try to give back. We hope that something as simple as a custom sign in the window promoting “Take Out” to keep these businesses going can help.”
Each of the signs, featuring the words “Take Out” and the restaurants phone number, were built at the company’s manufacturing plant on Deleglise Street in Antigo, Wisconsin, where workers from this community have been making custom neon signs for more than 30 years. Then, Antigo Zeon team member Tami Anderson hand delivered each one of them to restaurants throughout the community.
“Antigo Zeon delivered this (sign) last Friday. WOW!!! I am so very grateful for this beautiful sign.” Tanya Selden of Sweet Thyme posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page. “Tami, it was nice to meet you and I appreciate the personal interest you took to make sure that it worked perfectly for Sweet Thyme.”
