Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 12/14/20
ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Thursday, December 3rd
Officers responded to a report of drug paraphernalia found at an address on Memory Lane.
Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 9th Avenue. The vehicle was searched. A subject was arrested on a probation warrant, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and was given a verbal warning for a defective headlight.
Officers received a call from an area business on Jerome Street reporting that they had a shoplifter on video who stole two boxes of merchandise valued at $379.00 each. The subject was no longer at the business. The caller gave officers a description of the suspect’s vehicle.
Friday, December 4th
Officers responded to a report of a sex offender violation at an address on Neva Road. The subject was taken into custody.
A subject came to the Safety Building to report the theft of some items from a residence on Lincoln Street. The subject told officers that a bicycle was missing from outside the home and an old gaming system and about 50 games were missing from inside the home. The subject gave officers the name of a possible suspect.
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident with injuries on S. Superior Street. One subject was having chest pain and needed to be extracted from the vehicle.
Officers responded to a report of kids on the roof of a building at 5th Avenue and Dorr Street.
Officers stopped a vehicle at Charlotte Court and Prosser Place. A field sobriety test was conducted. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated and was cited for failure to obey a traffic sign, failure to fasten a seatbelt, and possession of marijuana.
Sunday, December 6th
Officers stopped a vehicle at Graham Avenue and Clermont Street. A field sobriety test was conducted. The subject was taken into custody.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they were holding a subject for retail theft. The subject was cited for retail theft.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they were holding a female subject for retail theft.
Monday, December 7th
Officers responded to a call from a person on 6th Avenue reporting a trespasser. The caller told officers that the male subject was making threats, had weapons and wasn’t allowed in the building per the landlord. When officers arrived, the subject was gone. A different subject was referred for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT
Thursday, December 3rd
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an address on Kriewaldt Road. A male subject was taken into custody. He was transported to Langlade Hospital for medical clearance and then to Corrections.
Officers executed a warrant attempt at an address on W. Bear Lake Road. The subject was taken into custody.
Officers received a call from a male reporting that he either lost a handgun or it had been stolen. He told officers that he last saw it in his vehicle on November 20th at a relative’s house on Black Oak Road. He noticed that it was gone on November 25th when he got back to his residence. The gun was described as a Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic, stainless steel in a black, vinyl, zippered case.
Officers attempted to locate a possible drunk driver traveling south on Hwy. 52 towards Antigo driving a gray Nissan Altima. Officers stopped the vehicle. The female driver was referred for criminal operating after revocation and failure to install an ignition interlock device.
Officers responded to a report of drugs at an address on Kriewaldt Road. A subject was referred for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Saturday, December 5th
Officers responded to a call from a male subject on Spring Brook Road reporting a burglary at his home. The caller told officers that a gun was taken from his living room sometime between 12/3/20 and 12/4/20 while he was at work. He told officers that the house was unlocked. He had talked to his neighbors, but they had not seen anything suspicious.
Monday, December 7th
Officers responded to a report of an accident at an address on Cty. Rd. AA. A subject had accidentally struck a tree on the property. The door of the vehicle would not open so the subject was stuck in the vehicle, but they did not need medical attention. A wrecker was called.
Tuesday, December 8th
Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting that a male subject was blocking traffic at the intersection of Hwy. 47 and S. Rollwood Road. The caller stated that the male subject said that he had just seen Bigfoot and was freaking out. He was also asking for a ride to Green Bay. The caller told officers that the male subject did eventually let them leave, but he was still blocking the intersection. Officers escorted the male subject to another location.
Officers responded to a report of an accident with injuries on Cty. Rd. A. Two people were injured. One subject had a knee injury and the other subject had a back injury.
