ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Tuesday, November 24th

Officers responded to a report of an accident at 5th Avenue and Clermont Street. A truck had been eastbound on 5th Avenue and then cut the corner when turning northbound onto Clermont Street running over the stop sign. A large spring from the sign got caught in the frame of the truck. Officers were able to get the spring out and placed the stop sign back at the intersection.

Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting a burglary at a house on Edison Street. The caller told officers that they had been taking care of the house for someone and they think that someone broke into the house.

Officers responded to a report of an accident at Mary Street and Gruber Street. The caller told officers that they lost control of their vehicle and it struck a pole. WPS was notified. The vehicle was towed.

Officers responded to a call from a subject on Edison Street reporting a trespasser on their property. Officers took the subject into custody.

Wednesday, November 25th

Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a minor accident in their parking lot.

Officers received a call from a subject reporting that the back window of their vehicle had been broken out/shattered while they were at an area business on 5th Avenue. The caller told officers that they noticed that the window as caving in on their way home. They told officers that they went back to the business and talked to the employees who told them that a video wouldn’t be available for a couple of days.

Officers responded to a report of retail theft at an area business on Hwy. 64. The subject was cited for retail theft.

Thursday, November 26th

Officers stopped a vehicle on Neva Road. A field sobriety test was conducted. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Friday, November 27th

Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and 10th Avenue. A field sobriety test was conducted. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

Officers responded to a call from a subject calling on behalf of a vehicle owner who had their vehicle stolen. The vehicle was found with drug paraphernalia inside, that the owner wanted to have removed by officers.

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle theft at an address on 5th Avenue.

Saturday, November 28th

Officers responded to a call from a female on Neva Road reporting that approximately 10 to 15 minutes earlier she had been attacked by 3 other females who knocked her teeth out. The female denied emergency medical services.

Sunday, November 29th

Officers responded to a request from the Antigo Fire Department for assistance with an EMS call at an address on Field Street. A subject had passed out and fallen. Another subject at the scene was upset that it took the Fire Department so long to get to the location. The subject calmed down once officers arrived.

Officers responded to a call from Langlade Hospital for a disorderly subject in the Emergency Room. They were demanding access to a patient there, but were being denied due to COVID restrictions. The subject was told to calm down and check back later.

Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting retail theft. The subject was in custody at the business.

Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they were following a vehicle with some subjects inside that had stolen some items from the business. The vehicle was apprehended and the merchandise was returned to the business.

Monday, November 30th

Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting that a van that was driving on Superior Street and then turned east onto 2nd Avenue struck an electrical pole on the corner and then kept going on 2nd Avenue on the wrong side of the road. The caller gave officers a description of the van. The pole was not damaged. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

Officers responded to multiple calls reporting a fire at an address on 5th Avenue. Smoke was coming from the first floor. The Antigo Fire Department responded. It was determined that the fire originated from an ash tray in the garbage.

 

 

 

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT

Tuesday, November 24th

Officers executed a warrant attempt at an address on Memory Lane. A subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant and possession of methamphetamine.

Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting a two vehicle accident at Hwy. 64 and Orchard Road. The caller told officers that a small, dark car with no taillights had slowed down to turn and got rear ended.

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Marathon Drive. There were no injuries, but the vehicle was damaged. The vehicle was towed.

Wednesday, November 25th

Officers responded to a report of an accident at Hwy. 55 and Sawyer Lake Road. The driver was not at the scene. The caller told officers that they thought that the driver may have went into the woods because they could see tracks. The male driver was identified. He was cited for leaving the scene of a crash and operating while intoxicated, 1st offense. He was also referred for possession of methamphetamine and obstructing an officer.

Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident with injuries at Hwy. 64 and Gruenberg Road. Both lanes of traffic were partially blocked. Both vehicles were towed.

Sunday, November 29th

Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a man in a silver Chevy Cobalt waved a gun in the window at her when passing, going southbound on Hwy. 45, by County Road A. Officers stopped the vehicle at Superior Street and 6th Avenue. The male subject was taken into custody by officers.

Officers responded to a call from a male on Adams Lane reporting that a vehicle in the field, 200 years northwest of his house, was on fire. A small amount of grass was also on fire.

Tuesday, December 1st

Officers responded to a report of a chimney fire at an address on Cty. Rd. C.

Officers responded to a call from a subject reporting that several mailboxes were damaged on Andregg Street in White Lake. There were tire tracks, but no vehicle parts were on the scene.

Officers responded to a report of an accident on Antigo Street in Elcho. Property damage only.
