ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Tuesday, April 27th
Officers responded to a report of an accident at an address on Neva Road.
Officers responded to a report of a female lying by the back door of a business on Field Street. The caller told officers that she seemed “messed up,” but she had not entered the business yet. The caller said that she was talking to people in the parking lot. She did not appear to be injured. Officers determined that the female subject was extremely intoxicated. She told officers that she was fine and insisted on walking home. Officers gave her a courtesy ride to her apartment.
Officers arrested a subject on a Department of Corrections warrant at an address on Clermont Street.
Wednesday, April 28th
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an area business on 5th Avenue. A subject at the business was agitated. The subject was given a ride to an address on Edison Street.
Officers responded to a report of an accident at an address on 2nd Avenue. The caller told officers that a pole was struck by the vehicle and the pole seemed to be leaning a bit. There was only a very small dent in the front bumper. Officers determined that the pole was fine.
Thursday, April 29th
Officers stopped a vehicle at E. 5th Avenue and Division Street. The male driver was cited for possession of marijuana and no proof of insurance. The subject was also referred for possession of marijuana and bail jumping after officers learned that he was out on bond.
Officers responded to a call from a female on 3rd Avenue reporting that her neighbors throw garbage out of the window of the house that faces her driveway and a few weeks ago the subjects in the house appeared to light paper airplanes on fire and send them out the window. The caller told officers that she complained to them and they then picked some of them up. She said that they also throw food containers and food out and now there was an arrow in the yard that they must have shot out the window. Officers arrested a subject at the residence on a Langlade County Sheriff’s office warrant.
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an address on Progress Boulevard. The male caller told officers that around 7pm he had been involved in a physical altercation with another subject. He said that the other subject and choked him twice and after the altercation, the other subject had sent him threatening text messages. Officers took a male subject into custody.
Friday, April 30th
Officers responded to a report of an accident at 5th Avenue and Dorr Street.
Officers arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant at an address on Clermont Street. They were transported to Corrections.
Officers responded to a call from an employee of an area business reporting that two subject were engaged in some sort of sexual activity on McMillan Avenue behind some trees. The caller yelled at them and they took off towards Lincoln Street. One of the subjects was described as wearing a red shirt. Officers later received another call from the reporting person saying that the subjects had returned and were walking into the woods picking up items. They then left going towards Lincoln Street. Officers talked to two subjects, who both denied that it was them.
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at 1st Avenue and Deleglise Street. It was believed that one subject had a broken nose. There was blood all over. The subject refused medical treatment and would not give officers any information.
Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Spruce Street. A subject was taken into custody.
Sunday, May 2nd
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an address on Neva Road. When officers arrived they found out that the subject had left the area.
Officers assisted with a fire call at an address on Center Street.
Officers assisted with a fire call at an address on 10th Avenue.
Monday, May 3rd
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person at an address on 5th Avenue. A subject was taken into custody.
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an address on Clermont Street.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a shoplifter. The subject was referred for retail theft and felony bail jumping.
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at an address on 10th Avenue. The caller told officers that a named subject had tried to break in about 30 minutes prior to the call. The caller gave officers a description of the subject’s vehicle.
Tuesday, May 4th
Officers responded to a call from a female at an address on Elm Street reporting that overnight someone stole two St. Croix fishing rods from outside their garage. They were described as black, ultra light rods with spinning reels. Their value was estimated at $100. The caller also said that the subjects had gone through her husband’s tackle box, but nothing was taken.
Officers were out with a suspicious person in the 600 block of 7th Avenue. The subject was arrested for obstruction/resisting, a Department of Corrections warrant and felony bail jumping.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT
Thursday, April 29th
Officers received a call from a male subject on Springbrook Road reporting a case of fraud. He told officers that the day before he had received a call stating that he had a warrant. He was then convinced to go and buy $8,000 worth of gift cards. He told officers that he did not know what kinds of cards he had purchased.
Friday, April 30th
Officers received a call from a subject at a residence on Cty. Rd. H reporting that on 4/29/21 some lumber was stolen from the side of the house. 23-26 pieces of 2x6x18 boards were taken at a value of $30-$35 per board.
Saturday, May 1st
Officers assisted with a fire call at an address on Van Alstine Road. There was a brush fire behind a house. It was put out.
Sunday, May 2nd
Officers arrested a subject on a Shawano County Sherriff’s warrant at Blue Bell Road and Johnson Road. The subject was transported to the Langlade County/Shawano County line and transferred over to the Shawano County Sherriff’s Department.
Officers responded to a call from a towing company reporting that they had received a request for a wrecker for a deer versus car accident at Hwy. 64 and Cty. Rd. M. Two vehicles had struck the same deer. One vehicle as totaled and the other vehicle had already left the scene.
Officers received a call from a male subject on Bass Lake Road reporting that he had recently had the land surveyed and the neighbors have been trespassing on the property. The caller told officers that within the last half hour, the neighbor had wrecked some garden fencing that the caller had used to mark the property.
Monday, May 3rd
Officers responded to a report of an accident on Cty. Rd. H. The vehicle was towed.
Tuesday, May 4th
Officers received a call from a male on Cty. Rd. J reporting that his vehicle was missing. The vehicle was described as a blue Dodge Caravan. The caller told officers that the last time he had seen the vehicle as at 5:00 PM on May 3rd. The keys had been left in the vehicle. Officers determined that the caller’s vehicle was involved in an accident the night before and had been towed.
Officers conducted a follow up investigation at an address on Cty. Rd. J. A subject was arrested for bail jumping, obstructing an officer, and operating after revocation – operating while intoxicated related.
