Antigo Area Community Food Pantry July 14th 11am-1pm (Wed.) & July 16th 1pm-3pm (Fri.), 2120 Progress Blvd., Antigo (715) 623-1103. We ask that all individuals wishing to use the Food Pantry wait in cars, or outside and a volunteer will provide direction as to service. Our monthly donation focus for July will be – Beverages: fruit and vegetable juices (low salt and sugar), tea. Elcho Area Community Food Pantry July 12th & July 19th 2:30-4:30pm (Mon.), July 14th 4-6pm (Wed.), 11224 Antigo St., Elcho. You will receive pre-packed bags of basic food items. Tell the volunteer how many in your family and if you have a specific need for something. Thank you for your cooperation. Camp Invention July 12th-16th 9am-3:30pm All Saints Catholic School, 419 Sixth Avenue, Antigo. Camp Invention – Antigo is for kids entering 1st-6th grade in Fall 2021. Camp Invention is hosted at All Saints Catholic School but is a national science and technology curriculum, and not religious education. Children are presented with fun, hands-on challenges that encourage creative problem solving, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Camp Invention is led by experienced local teachers and new curriculum is introduced each year, inspired by the Inductees of the National Inventors Hall of Fame! Please note, if we are unable to host Camp Invention in person due to COVID-19, the Camp Invention Recharge program will be transitioned to an At Home experience. Monday’s Women’s Bike Ride July 12th & July 19th 5:30-7pm Aspirus Langlade Hospital, lot F, 112 E. 5th Ave., Antigo. Want to ride bike with others? We may have a group for you! The Monday Night Women’s Bike Rides will typically meet in the Aspirus Hospital Parking Lot “F” at 5:30 p.m. This is located behind St Joseph’s Annex, east of Langlade Road. Once a month, they will meet somewhere different in the county (underlined dates below). The alternative rides start at 5:45pm. Please email Mary Jo Filbrandt for directions and a route for these alternative rides. There will be up to groups with a 10-12 mile route and a 20-25 mile route. A bike helmet is required. Music in the Park – Drovers July 12th Food starting at 5:30pm; concerts start 6pm City Park West, 230 block of Aurora St., Antigo. Bring your lawn chairs & listen to the Music in the Park! Concerts held every Monday & Thursday, June-August. In the event of severe weather, concerts are held at the Heinzen Pavilion in Peaceful Valley. Free admission. Tuesday Geezer Bike Ride July 13th 9:30am Peaceful Valley Playground, 420 Field St., Antigo. The Tuesday Geezer bike rides start at 9:30am from the Peaceful Valley Playground, weather permitting. All are welcome. The group normally rides less traveled town and county roads. The distance depends on how far the participants want to go. Sometimes the group splits up for those who want to go shorter distances and those who might like longer rides. We also try to include areas with interesting vegetation and wildlife. Animal Musicians Rule July 13th 1-2pm Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. Animal musicians are all around us. Let’s read about some cool animal musicians. Then we will make our own music. Participants will receive a take and learn kit to learn more at home. Presented in partnership with 4-H. Located outside, on the grassy area north of the library. Compassionate Friends Celebration of Life – July 13th 6pm Hudson St. Shelter, across from the ballpark, Antigo. We are holding our annual balloon release in memory of our children who have passed before their time and gone on ahead of us. This year due to the tragedy of the pandemic, we are opening our event and our hearts to all who have lost someone. The shared meal will start at 6pm. Second Tuesday Concert Series- Quarry Road July 13th 6-8pm WOW Art Park, Vinal St., Wittenberg. Free admission. Donations are welcome. Food will be for sale from the Wittenberg Ambulance. Colossal Fossils presents: Whale of a Tale July 14th 10-11am Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. Learn about both fossil and modern whales and see some of the BIGGEST prehistoric bones you’ll ever see! Wednesday Group Bike Ride July 14th 4pm Langlade County Courthouse, 800 Clermont St., Antigo. The Group Bike Ride meets in the parking lot of the Langlade County Courthouse. The ride leaves at 4pm and usually returns at about 6:30pm. Routes are determined by the weather and attendees. The length of the ride is approximately 30-40 miles. Elcho Music in the Park – G & B Dance Band July 14th 6pm The Jack Lamar Memorial/Elcho Community Pavilion, N11283 Dorr Street, Elcho. Admission is free. Food will be available to purchase starting at 5pm. All Elcho Music in the Park performances will be performed on the grass in front of the pavilion. If raining, it will take place inside the pavilion.

Youth Baseball Tournament (9U – 15U) July 16th, 17th & 18th Al Remington Little League Ball Park, 630 Langlade Rd., Antigo. Cheer on our local youth as they compete in the annual Youth Baseball Tournament on local fields. Wittenberg-Birnamwood FFA Alumni Corn Roast July 16th 7-11pm Wittenberg Village Park, Wittenberg. Free beer from 7-11pm. Must have a ticket to partake in the refreshments. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door, children 12 & under are free. Advance ticket sales end on 7/13/21. Music by Dam Country. Hamburgers, brats and cheese curds will also be on sale. Go For It Quad & Bike Races – Round 2 July 17th 7am-7pm Go For It Raceway, N1696 Hwy. 45, Antigo. Go For It Raceway will be holding Quad & Bike Racing on July 17, August 14, August 28, September 25 and October 9 as part of their 2021 Dirt-Track Series. Go For It Raceway features both clay oval and clay TT tracks. The track is located just 4 miles south of Antigo on Hwy 45. The track is built in a valley offering great spectator views and features a concession stand with an assortment of food and beverages, including burgers, brats, hotdogs, and a wide variety of beverages. Antigo Farmer’s Market July 17th 8am-Noon Heinzen Pavilion, 603 6th Avenue, Antigo. All produce is locally grown by the vendor who sells them. Shopping at the Antigo Farmer’s Market is a great way to get local, in season food, and make connections with the people that grew it.
MK Triathlon & Splash-n-Dash July 17th 8am Veteran’s Memorial Park at Jack Lake, N8375 Park Road, Deerbrook. Known as one of the most scenic places in Langlade County, Jack Lake will again be host to a day of racing, eating, drinking and music to support the Antigo Swim Club! The weekend’s events include an off-road triathlon, a swim/run duathlon and kid’s race. Competitors can compete in either the solo or team divisions. For more information, email [email protected].
Knights of Columbus “Welcome Back to Church” Breakfast July 18th 8-11:30am Vickie and the Vets, 1216 Elm St., Antigo. This is a nondenominational event. All are invited and everyone is welcome!
