Northwoods Obstacle Trail Challenge is Taking Place August 7th & 8th
FOR THE ANTIGO TIMES
The equine sport of horse obstacle competition will be held on August 7th at Black Hawk Hill Horse Park in Antigo, located just two miles south of Antigo on Highway 45.
The event will begin at 11:00 AM. You can come and enjoy several hours of equine horsemanship – navigating logs, rocks, gates and much more.
Dennis and Shaughn Novy, along with their daughter McKenzie Glenetske started the course two years ago and have hosted clinics, competitions, youth programs and practice sessions, each year hoping to add one more obstacle. Obstacle courses help the horse and the rider with conditioning and agility.
Kids can build a stick horse and join in on the barrel racing fun at noon on the 7th.
Then at 11:00 AM on the Sunday, August 8th, a wild Mustang demonstration will be going on.
Food and refreshments will be available both days. Tickets are available at Antigo Country Store or on site.
