Antigo Area Community Food Pantry May 11th 11am-2pm (Wed.) & May 13th 1pm-3pm (Fri.), 2120 Progress Blvd., Antigo (715) 623-1103. We ask that all individuals wishing to use the Food Pantry wait in cars, or outside and a volunteer will provide direction as to service. Our monthly donation focus for May will be Personal care items: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste, floss, deodorant, feminine hygiene products. Elcho Area Community Food Pantry May 9th & May 16th 2:30-4:30pm (Mon.), May 11th 4-6pm (Wed.), 11224 Antigo St., Elcho. Individuals will receive a checklist of food items and can indicate their selections then submit the list. Food will be distributed based on availability and # of family members. Note that the pantry is not open on holidays, or on days when the schools are closed because of snow. (715) 275-5010.

Monday’s Women’s Bike Ride May 9th & May 16th 5:30-7:30pm Aspirus Langlade Hospital, 112 E. 5th Ave., Antigo. Want to ride bike with others? We may have a group for you! The rides will typically meet in the Aspirus Hospital Parking Lot “F” at 5:30pm. This is located behind St Joseph’s Annex, east of Langlade Road. Once a month, they will meet somewhere different in the county (underlined dates below). The alternative rides start at 5:45pm. Please email Mary Jo Filbrandt for directions & a route for these alternative rides. There will be groups with a 10-15 mile route & a 20-25 mile route. A bike helmet is required. Bean Bag Tournament at Langlade County Senior Center May 10th 3pm Langlade County Senior Center, 904 5th Ave., Antigo. It will be the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, 3–5pm. The fee for the tournament is $3 per person payable when you register at the Center. The tournament is open to members only. Cash prizes will be paid out the same day for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Teams will be formed by a random draw. If you haven’t played this game before and would like to practice, come in to the Center any Monday afternoon and practice. The duration of the tournament will be determined by the interest of the participants.
Langlade County Senior Center – Card Making May 10th 6pm Langlade County Senior Center, 904 5th Ave., Antigo. Lyn Seljan will be back for an all-occasion card making class. All the supplies will be provided at the cost of $5. This activity is limited to 15 participants. Register & pay at the Senior Center.
Free COVID Testing May 11th 9am-noon Langlade County Health Services Gym, 1225 Langlade Rd., Antigo. FREE COVID testing is available every Wednesday in the Health Service Center gym. Summer in the Northwoods Art Show & Sale May 11th – August 10th AVA Art Gallery, Langlade County Historical Society, 404 Superior St., Antigo. Wednesday Group Bike Ride May 11th 4pm Langlade County Courthouse, 800 Clermont St., Antigo. The group bike ride meets on Wednesdays in the parking lot of the Langlade County Courthouse. The ride leaves at 4pm and usually returns at about 6:30pm. Routes are determined by the weather & attendees. The length of the ride is approximately 30-40 miles. Pickleball at White Lake School May 11th 6-8pm White Lake School Recreation Center, 405 Bissell St., White Lake. During the school year White Lake School hosts Pickleball in their small gym every Wednesday. Use the side door off Center Street to enter. Channel Launch Party May 12th 5-6pm Langlade County Historical Society Museum, 404 Superior St., Antigo. Come celebrate Langlade County’s history as the Langlade County Historical Society, with the help of the 4-H Tech Changemakers, launch their new YouTube channel at the Langlade County Historical Society Museum & Welcome Center. Be part of Langlade County’s history, by participating during the launch party on “What is your favorite place or thing in our community?” Refreshments will be provided. CPR Refresher May 12th 6-9pm Northcentral Technical College, 312 Forrest Ave., Antigo. This American Heart Association approved course is a refresher for those already meeting requirements for CPR as a Healthcare Provider. Elcho Community Pavilion Shrimp & Fish Dinner May 13th 4pm Elcho Community Pavilion, N11283 Dorr St., Antigo. Tigerton Lions Club Steak Fry & Raffle May 14th 5-7pm Tigerton Community Center, 221 Birch St., Tigerton. The Tigerton Lions Club will host their annual Spring Steak Fry & Raffle. They will be serving a New York Strip steak grilled over a wood fire. Meal includes a baked potato, salad and homemade dessert. Cost is $20. Rose Bowl Bound Fundraiser – Featuring Hip Pocket May 14th 5:30-10pm North Star Lanes, 400 Prosser Place, Antigo. Please join Antigo High School Band for a night of fun! There will be raffles, silent auctions, appetizers & desserts. Hip Pocket will perform at 7pm & you will also hear from the Antigo High School Band! Tickets are $40 in advance & $50 at the door. Only 250 tickets will be sold. Advance tickets will be available at Lakeside Market & CoVantage Credit Union. The ticket price includes entertainment, appetizers & desserts.
