The employees at LeRoyer Child Care Center wanted to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s but unfortunately on September 10th we had early childhood training.

The teachers decided that we would host a department Alzheimer’s Challenge to help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. For 9 days all the staff monitored and documented the total daily miles they walked or ran while taking care of the children. We asked parents and family members to sponsor our miles. The teachers walked or ran a total of 312 miles with a total donation to the Alzheimer’s Association of $233.00.

Thank you to all the parents that donated and the staff doing laps around the playground with the children! Of course, thank you to the children too for keeping us moving, trying to keep up with their youthful exuberance.

LeRoyer Child Care Center is located at 1003 McMillan Ave in Antigo. We have provided licensed childcare for Antigo and the surrounding communities for over fifteen years. Children six weeks through five years attend and participate in many hands-on learning experiences such as sensory tables, painting, songs/finger plays, and lots of stories.

The center has three developmentally appropriate playgrounds with ample room for the children to run, jump and explore the great outdoors. Anyone interested in touring our facility is welcome to contact Dawn Justman at [email protected] or call us at 715-623-3231. We currently have several childcare openings and would love to show you around.
