Adrianna Kots, 93

Adrianna Kots, age 93 of Birnamwood passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.

She was born on January 15, 1926 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of the late Teunis and Elizabeth (Akkerhuis) Visser.  On January 15, 1948 she married George Kots in Laverne, MN.  He preceded her in death on June 26, 1988.

Adrianna’s first love was serving her Lord.  She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She worked for the Homme Home Youth and Family Programs as a cook and housekeeper for over 20 years.  She adored her dog Susie, who was her constant companion.

Survivors include her three daughters, Linda (James) Ramaker of Prairie du Sac, Marcia Nueske (Paul Hartleben) of Wittenberg, and Laurie (Dick) Beyer of Wittenberg; 7 grandchildren, Sarah (Rob) Schueler, Calvin (Tonia) Ramaker, Ryan Nueske, Ross Nueske, Chanda (Phil) Kersten, Corey Beyer (Kelly), and Chad Beyer; 10 great-grandchildren;  one brother, Peter (Muriel) Visser of Souix Center, IA; sisters-in-law, Gertrude Visser and Goldie (Max) Bowman; brothers-in-law, Ted Coleman and George Headrick; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, four brothers, William, Gilbert, Gerrit, and John, son-in-law, James Nueske, and granddaughter, Cynthia Ramaker.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg.  Mr. Robert Eberhardt, Mr. Travis Wagner, Mr. Eric Nueske, and Ms. Linda Woolum will officiate.  Burial will be in Forest Cemetery, Birnamwood.  Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
