Alma Frisch, 90

Alma J. Frisch, age 90, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center.

Alma was born on October 25, 1924 to the late William and Clara (Holly) Mosher in Antigo.

She attended Mayflower Grade School. From 1942 unit 1948 she worked in Berwyn, IL as a machine operator in a war plant.

On October 9, 1948 she was united in marriage to Otto J. Frisch, Jr. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Otto preceded her in death on December 7, 2014.

Alma was a homemaker and also owned and operated Hilltop Egg Farm with her husband from 1960 until 1981. She enjoyed her busy home. Alma was a wonderful baker and especially loved carrying on a tradition of baking kolaches. Her hands were never idle as she provided for her family with canning and freezing. Her talents were many. She enjoyed arts and crafts, tri-chem painting, and writing poetry which all became treasured gifts for her family and loved ones. She loved animals and the family always had a pet. Celebrating anniversaries and birthdays were especially important to Alma.

She was a devoted member of Ss. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church where she was a member of the Rosary Society.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Barbara (Peter) Johanek of Wabeno, Jane (William) Koszarek of Antigo, Margaret “Peg” (Gary) Domke of Antigo, 4 sons, Michael (Mary) Frisch of Readfield, WI, Jeffrey Frisch of Antigo, Gregory Frisch of Antigo, Jerome (Kim) Frisch of Antigo, 10 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, and 10 step great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Alma was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Evelyn Zaverousky, Doris Schremp, Sr. Mary Angela Dominic, and Mildred Mosher, 4 brothers, Richard, Raymond, George, and Harold Mosher.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 31 at 10:30 AM at Ss. Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church. Father David Schmidt will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with a parish wake service at 7:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Queen of Peace Mausoleum.
