Andrew "Andy" K. Bricko, 55, Shipman, VA, formerly of Hatley, died Friday, June 3, 2016 at his home.
He was born on August 28, 1960, the son of the late Margaret (Gorski) Bricko and Kenneth Bricko, Wittenberg.
Andy worked as a head sawyer and lumber inspector at various lumber companies, including his own pallet company, AKB Enterprises, for most of his life. He was extremely passionate about many things; coon hunting, deer hunting, fishing and most importantly his children. Andy was a funny man and everyone liked to be around him. He was also very generous and would do anything for anyone.
Survivors include his father, Kenneth (Barb Pagryzinski) Bricko, Wittenberg; one daughter, Angie (Cary) Richter, Rosholt; one son, Jackson Bricko, Shipman, VA; three grandchildren, Brett, Anna and Davis Andrew Richter and his siblings, Judy (Jay) Freiberg, Hatley, Berna (Jay) Kottwitz, Lake Mills, Kathy Karnitz-Meinert, CO, Tom (Carol) Bricko, MN and Brad (Karen) Bricko, Antigo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, Angie's mother, Audrey Yenter, Hatley; Jackson's mother, Jackie Ragland- Bricko, VA; other relatives and friends.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent. Sister Mary Ellen Diermeier will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12noon until the time of services at the church. Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that a donation be sent to help cover the cost of the services and bringing Andy home.
