Ann Wolf, formerly of Antigo, died Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill at the age of 99.

She was born January 12, 1920 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Fred and Clara (Eckart) Kawalek. She was raised in Merrill and resided there until her marriage to Edward Wolf on June 17, 1939 in Hurley. The couple raised their family in Antigo, and Ed preceded her in death on May 8, 2003.

Mrs. Wolf was employed as a waitress and cook, and also at Frost Veneer mill and Miller Tire. The Wolfs were a hard-working couple, even building their own home.

Mrs. Wolf enjoyed knitting, making and selling rag rugs, gardening and spending time outside. She enjoyed walking and being active, so much that she took on a paper route. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Shirli (Ronald) Sievert of Black Creek, and Barbara (Jamie) Koch of Merrill; a son James (Jo) Wolf of Guilderland, NY; a brother, Albert (Carol) Kawalek of Florida; 7 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Frank Kawalek, and a sister, Clara Micheau.

A funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home, with Rev. Karen Tews officiating. Visitation will be 8:30-9:30 Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Elmwood Cemetery.
