The Antigo Junior Woman’s Club is presenting our 44th Annual Craft and Trade Show on October 19th at the Langlade County Fairgrounds in the Multi-Purpose Building. The popular fall event will run from 9am to 3pm. The Craft and Trade Show consists of 148 spaces and are occupied with 102 unique crafters and vendors. They will be displaying hand painted decorations, wood items, rag quilts in many different sizes, wool mittens, jewelry, doll clothes and accessories, handmade wooden bowls, garden items, pet items, Fall and Christmas decorations, and many other new items for you to purchase for any special occasion or event.
Admissions are $2 at the door or $1 with a donation of a non-perishable food item, donated to the Antigo Area Community Food Pantry. Children under 10 are free with an adult. A bake sale with homemade bakery and candies, food and refreshments and raffle tickets are available for you to purchase. Raffle prizes include a handmade quilt, various gift baskets, gift certificates and items from our crafters and vendors. Raffle tickets are available at CoVantage Credit Union, from club members and at the show. We donate the proceeds back to the different organizations in our community and the Langlade County area. This past year the Antigo Junior Woman’s Club had donated over $10,000.00 back into our community. Our mission is to inspire and empower present and future generations and the organization’s objective is to better the local community through charity and cultural opportunities.
We have donated funds in the past for scholarships at Antigo, Elcho, and White Lake High Schools, Antigo Area Community Food Pantry, White Lake Food Pantry, Elcho Food Pantry, Langlade County 4-H, AVAIL, Salvation Army, Humane Society, Boys & Girls Club, Community Health Foundation, REGI Raptor Center, Habit for Humanity, Langlade Hospital Auxiliary, Antigo High School Lock In, Antigo Gridiron Club, Langlade County Crime Stoppers, Langlade County Disability for the Community Bible Bus, Honor Flight, The Giving Tree, City of Antigo K9, Music in the Park, Antigo Public Library for children’s books, ASCS Golf Outing, Antigo Bow Club for youth archery, Relay for Life, diaper drive, Weekend Backpack program, the Antigo Dug Out Club, Langlade County Historical Society for the museum restoration project and many other organizations and requests too numerous to mention them all.
