Antigo Police Department Warrant of the Week

Warrant of the Week:

The Antigo Police Department holds an arrest warrant for Jason R. Jones d.o.b. 02-18-77. Jones is wanted for failing to pay a fine on charges of resisting an officer.  The warrant was valid as of 10-25-16. Those with information on his whereabouts are urged to call the Antigo Police Department at (715) 627-6411 or Langlade County Crimestoppers at 715-627-NAIL (6245). Callers may remain anonymous. Halloween Safety:

Halloween is one of the best days of the year for kids. This day can be even better if they keep safety in mind. The Antigo Police Department would like to remind you of a few tips to share with your child about Halloween.

• Children under 12 should always be supervised
• After dark, try and stay in well-lit areas
• Decorate candy bags and buckets with reflective tape
• Bring a flashlight
• Stay in neighborhoods that you are familiar with
• Always walk on the sidewalk and watch out for cars that are backing out of driveways
• Inspect your child’s candy
• Know your child’s route and what time they will be returning

Drivers that are on the road during Halloween and days popular with trick-or-treating be mindful of the extra pedestrian traffic. During this time kids are pre-occupied and may not be looking for cars as they normally would. Take the extra time to look twice at driveways, intersections, and alleys. Slow down drastically in residential neighborhoods and limit distractions.
