Posted

Warrant of the Week:

The Antigo Police Department holds an arrest warrant for Jamale A. Bonds d.o.b. 09-28-73. Those with information on his whereabouts are urged to call the Antigo Police Department at (715) 627-6411, submit a tip at www.p3tips.com or on the P3 app on your device. Callers may remain anonymous.

Snowmobiles in the city:

Eventually the snowmobile trails will open in Langlade County. When they do, the Antigo Police Department would like to remind snowmobilers that the City of Antigo does allow snowmobiles on the road in certain circumstances.

Snowmobiles are allowed to travel from a residence or lodging establishments within the city limits. They must use the shortest distance that is necessary for a person to operate a snowmobile to the trail that is closest to that residence or lodging establishment. It is that person’s responsibility to determine the shortest route.

The snowmobile must yield the right of way to other traffic and pedestrians, and such operation is only permitted during the time when the snowmobile trails have officially opened. No operator may be under the age of 16.

The City of Antigo also has an ordinance making it illegal to operate a snowmobile in any parks or cemeteries.

Have a safe and productive 2018.
