ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, December 12th
12:30 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Field Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated. The female passenger was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt.
9:23 AM Officers received a call from a male reporting that two area businesses at 6th Avenue and Clermont Street were plowing the snow from their sidewalks onto the city street that had already been plowed. The caller wanted the businesses warned. Later the male subject called back and told officers that he had talked to both of them and advised them to stop. The information was put on file.
2:30 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. Vehicle 1 was parked. Vehicle 2 entered the lot and struck Vehicle 1. Property damage only. An accident report was completed. One driver was cited for an expired registration and no insurance.
6:31 PM Officers responded to a call from a female requesting an extra patrol in the area of Elm Street and 3rd Avenue when school got out. The caller’s children walk home and a little black car with two younger males was driving erratically and speeding. It came from the north on Elm Street and was driving south past 3rd Avenue. That day the car had cut the corner and drove on the sidewalk. The caller was concerned for the safety of the children in the area. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
Tuesday, December 13th
11:18 AM Officers responded to a request from Antigo Middle School for an officer for two boys who were involved in a fight. Both male subjects were referred for disorderly conduct.
Wednesday, December 14th
1:40 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 7th Avenue. The male driver was warned for failure to stop at a stop sign.
3:37 AM Officers received a call reporting that dump trucks were hauling snow from the hospital to a field on Charlotte Street and they were making a lot of noise. Officers were advised. This has been an ongoing issue.
5:20 PM Officer responded to a two vehicle accident at Neva Road and Prosser Place. Both vehicles were towed. The female driver of one vehicle was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
Thursday, December 15th
12:19 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The male driver was cited for graduated driver’s license restrictions.
9:57 AM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. Vehicle 2 was parked. Vehicle 1 attempted to park next to Vehicle 2, turned too wide and struck Vehicle 2.
6:50 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that she struck a vehicle on 2nd Avenue.
Friday, December 16th
1:26 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Superior Street and 2nd Avenue. The male driver was given a written warning for speed.
5:30 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 6th Avenue and Lincoln Street. A female subject was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to pay a fine for possession of marijuana. A male subject was also arrested for 2 Langlade County Sheriff Office warrants for failure to pay a fine for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense and possession of marijuana.
9:44 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Lincoln Street reporting that a female subject in the same apartment building was continuing to yell and scream at her children. The caller had it recorded on video. Officers listened to the video. Officers found out that other complaints had been made against the female subject and she had been put on notice not to yell at children any more or she may get evicted.
12:20 PM Officers cited a male student for underage alcohol for bringing vodka to Antigo Middle School and drinking some of it on 12/14/16.
12:23 PM Officers cited a male student for writing on desks and the wall at Antigo Middle School on 12/12/16 and 12/13/16.
1:09 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of an area business on Jerome Street. Vehicle 2 was parked in the lot Vehicle 1 was driving in the lot and ran into Vehicle 2.
7:58 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female subject on 5th Avenue reporting that she was being beaten up by another female subject. Officers transported the second female subject to jail for disorderly conduct. On 12/17/16 2:45 PM The reporting female subject called officers again to report that she went to the emergency room the night before, at approximately 9:30 PM. She had a slight concussion and her throat muscles were swollen.
7:59 PM Officers received a call from a male on 10th Avenue requesting an extra patrol in the area for a silver Chevy Silverado with an extended cab and a loud exhaust that was swerving around on the road and almost struck some water meters. The caller was concerned about the subject hitting the water meters or other property. Officers were advised.
10:24 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Prosser Place reporting up to 10 people in a fight. The parties were separated. Some pushing occurred, but no punches were thrown. The business told officers that they didn’t want anything else done as long as the parties were separated for the evening.
Saturday, December 17th
2:19 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Edison Street. The driver was cited for operating while suspended.
3:43 AM Officers were out on 5th Avenue with a male subject who was slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle. Officers gave him a ride to a residence on Virginia Street.
4:21 PM Officers were out with a male subject on Clermont Street. He was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant.
4:48 PM Officers responded to a call from the owner of an area business on Edison Street reporting that an African American male was in the business trying to start fights. He told officers that the male subject had now taken his shirt off. Officers gave the male subject a ride to his residence.
8:44 PM Officers were out with a female subject on Washington Avenue. She was arrested on three Langlade County Sheriff Office warrants and a probation hold.
Sunday, December 18th
1:13 AM Officers were out on Lincoln Street with a male subject who was slumped over the steering wheel of his parked vehicle. He told officers that he had fallen asleep while talking on his cell phone. Everything was ok and he was going into the house.
10:16 AM Officers received a call from a female subject on Watson Street reporting that her cell phone was stolen from her truck last night. She told officers that when her husband went to check the truck for her phone, the door was open and the phone was missing. No other items were missing. It was an iPhone 6, hot pink in color, worth $600.
Monday, December 19th
2:31 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Superior Street. The male driver was issued a citation for speed.
8:04 AM Officers responded to a report that a fire hydrant was knocked off on Bridge Street while plowing snow. The Water Department was taking care of the problem. The Street Department told officers that an accident report needed to be filed.
12:12 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that she was just involved in an accident at Clermont Street and 6th Avenue. There was no damage to either vehicle.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, December 14th
2:37 PM Officers received a call from a male subject reporting that he was run off the road by a female driver who failed to have on her blinker. It happened on Hwy. 55 in Pearson. Officers were advised.
8:24 PM Officers received a call from a male subject on Cty. Rd. S, reporting that an abandoned car was at the end of his driveway. There were no keys in the ignition and no one was around. The vehicle was a Camaro. The caller gave officers the license plate number. Officers contacted the registered owner who told them that he didn’t drive the car. He gave officers the name of the male subject from Birnamwood who did drive the vehicle. Officers later called the registered owner back and left a message that the vehicle need to be moved or it would be towed. The vehicle was removed by 3:30 AM.
10:17 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Lonely Road reporting that an older blue Chevy Blazer had done donuts in her yard and now was in the ditch on Cty. Rd. G. The caller described the driver as a larger, older man. There were footprints leaving the vehicle which led to a residence on Cty. Rd. G. The house was dark and no one came to the door. There was a ¾ full can of beer located in the cup holder of the vehicle. The registered owner of the vehicle had a revoked license, was ignition interlock device required and was out on bond with a no drink rule. The vehicle was towed. Officers left a message with the vehicle owner to give them a call. 12/16/16 3:45 PM The vehicle owner came to the Safety Building and spoke with officers. He told officers that a “buddy” was driving, but he would not tell officers the name of the person. 12/17/16 The vehicle was oked for release. Officers spoke with the vehicle owner again. They told the male subject that they did not believe his story and if he was caught, he would be jailed. The male subject told officers that he understood.
Friday, December 16th
9:23 AM Officers responded to a 911 call about a vehicle in the ditch on Cty. Rd. F. There were no injuries and the airbag had been deployed. The vehicle was towed.
11:17 AM Officers received a call from a male subject on Hwy. 45 reporting that another male subject had just come to his house, given him a line of “BS” and then had left. The caller told officers that he thought the other male subject had left, but he hadn’t. The male subject had gone into the caller’s office and may have taken something. The caller told officers that he then tried to stop the other male subject, who almost ran him over. The male subject was driving a black Impala with damage on the front end. The caller then told officers that he was in pursuit of the male subject in the Impala. Officer advised the caller to stop the pursuit and come to the Safety Building to complete a report. The vehicle was last seen northbound on Hwy. 45 entering Antigo.
2:17 PM Officers responded to a call from a female with a cabin on Marchese Road reporting that the chain and the gate to her cabin were cut and items were missing. The door to the shed was kicked in. The items taken included a “Dirty Hand” wood splitter valued at $1,300 and a 32cc McCullen chainsaw in a black case. A Stanley jump pack was also missing. Nothing else was disturbed. The tire tracks were snow covered and no prints were found. A shoe print on the door appeared to be from a winter boot.
10:08 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Hwy. 64. The male driver was cited for operating while suspended. Another male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Saturday, December 17th
7:41 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject stating that she needed an ambulance. She told officers that there were two subjects with a possible overdose and she was unsure if they were breathing. The female subject couldn’t tell dispatch exactly where she was. Contact was then lost with the caller. Officers were able to make contact with the female subject again and were able to determine their location as E. Walleye Lane. After talking with the female further, it was determined that she was one of the victims. The other was a male subject who was semi-conscious on the ground. She told dispatch that she took bath salts, and then later said that she didn’t but took Percocet and cough syrup. She told officers a few times that the male subject was up and then down again. The female subject was almost incoherent at times. Later, she told EMS that the male subject took bath salts and she took Percocet, then Vicodin and then maybe bath salts. Both subjects were transported to Langlade Hospital. After medical clearance, the female subject was taken to jail for misdemeanor bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia.
9:31 PM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a one vehicle roll-over accident on Hwy. 47. The female subject was going east on Hwy. 47 and swerved for a deer. There were no injuries. A state report was filed.
10:52 PM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy. 45. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed. The female driver was not intoxicated. She was cited for inattentive driving.
Sunday, December 18th
6:00 PM Officers responded to a call from an area towing company reporting an accident with damage at the intersection of Cty. Rd. B and Cty. Rd. C. There were no injuries. The vehicle was able to be driven home.
6:24 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Orchard Road reporting a vehicle in the ditch near his home. The vehicle was unoccupied. There was no damage.
11:06 PM Officers responded to a report of a white Pontiac Sunfire in the south ditch on Cty. Rd. I, about one mile from Hwy. 45 to the west. The caller told officers that he saw a male subject in black walking about one mile from the car, westbound on Cty. Rd. I. Officers arrested the male subject for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense. The vehicle was towed.
Tuesday, December 20th
5:35 AM Officers were out with a vehicle in the ditch at Hwy. 47 and Cty. Rd. W. There was no one around. The vehicle was towed and held. Officers contacted the registered owner who told them that their daughter drove the car. The female came to the Safety Building at 7:00 PM. She told officers that on 12/19/16 around 6:30-7:30 PM, she let a male subject take the vehicle, with her permission, to go to Neopit to meet a friend. Officers left a message with the male subject to call them.
