ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, June 27th
11:21 AM Officers received a call from an area business on 5th Avenue reporting that they have a male subject on camera stealing an item from the store. The subject was wearing dark jeans, a dark t-shirt and had darker hair. The caller requested that an officer stop by and view the video.
3:51 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that her son found a bike by a business on Hudson Street and brought it home. It was boy’s BMX bike, black and white with blue wall tires. Officers picked up the bike and took it to impound.
6:35 PM Officers responded to a call reporting that two men were walking on the sidewalk near an area business on 5th Avenue. The caller stated that the one subject appeared to be close to falling down. The caller could not tell if the male subject was highly intoxicated or if he may have a medical condition. Officers talked to the male subjects. The one subject was intoxicated and walking home with a friend.
7:06 PM Officers responded to a report of a subject driving on Deliglise Street that had a warrant. Officers located the subject at the North Clermont Ball Diamond. The subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant.
8:16 PM Officers responded to a report of dogs barking constantly at an address on Dorr Street. The owner got home just prior to the officer’s arrival. The owner was advised of the complaint.
Tuesday, June 28th
12:19 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting that someone left a 26 inch women’s brown Huffy 3 speed bike there a week ago. They requested that an officer pick it up. Officers took the bike to impound.
2:14 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a male subject was bent down by her car in a parking lot on Langlade Road. The male subject told her that she had fluids leaking, but when the caller looked she saw that her registration sticker was gone. The male subject was described as middle aged, with curly, shoulder length, sandy blonde hair. Officers met with the female caller and confirmed that her sticker was torn off. Officers were unable to locate the suspect.
6:48 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Memory Lane reporting that a few of their renters had been talking about shooting some raccoons that hang out around the building and an employee just heard a loud bang and saw smoke near some vehicles. Officers found that a male subject was lighting off fireworks. Officers advised them to stop. The male subject said that he and the other subjects were just goofing around when talking about shooting raccoons.
9:51 PM Officers responded to a call from Langlade Hospital reporting that a female was hanging out in the Emergency Room even after she had been asked to leave 3 or 4 times within the last hour. She had been there for about 5 hours. Officers spoke with the female subject. She was not intoxicated.
10:07 PM Officers responded to call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that vehicles in the parking lot of a nearby business were doing burnouts. Officers were given descriptions of the vehicles. Officers stopped a subject on a following traffic stop. Officers talked to the subject about their driving behavior.
10:11 PM Officers responded to a report of juveniles climbing on the poles in the sign park on the corner of 5th Avenue and Clermont Street. Officers were unable to locate them.
11:56 PM Officers responded to a call reporting that cars were drag racing. The caller stated that they ran a stop sign by an area business on Morse Street. The vehicles were described as a smaller SUV, maybe a Kia Soul and a red Dodge truck with juveniles inside. Officers were unable to locate them.
Wednesday, June 29th
11:54 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject on 5th Avenue reporting a stray dog in his yard. The dog was on a walking leash and had tags. Officers took the dog to the Humane Society.
12:33 PM Officers arrested a subject at the Safety Building on failure to appear in court on disorderly conduct charges and bail jumping warrants.
3:21 PM Officers assisted Probation & Parole with arresting a subject on a probation warrant and felony possession of marijuana.
4:43 PM Officers stopped at an area business on Neva Road. Employees told the officers about a gas drive off that occurred. They had a picture of the male subject. Officers identified the subject. They advised the subject to pay for the gas. The male subject paid for the gas.
4:43 PM Officers are investigating a retail theft at an area business on Hwy. 64. An unidentified African American bought six batteries and then later returned six different batteries. This subject has been doing this all over the state.
5:56 PM Officers received information from an area business on Hwy. 64 regarding a quick change artist that hit that business. The investigator told officers that this subject also was in their store in Weston and a report was filed with the Everest Metro police department that day.
9:36 PM A male subject stopped at the Safety Building with a bike that he found at an area business on Clermont Street. It was a blue 10 speed with curved handle bars. The bike had been painted. Officers took it to impound.
Thursday, June 30th
7:18 AM Officers responded to a call from a female subject who reported that while she was out walking near Deliglise Street and 2nd Avenue, a small Yorkie dog started following her. It had no collar or tags. Officers picked up the dog and brought it to the Humane Society.
8:16 AM Officers received a call from an employee of an area business on Neva Road reporting that they had a quick change artist in their business on 6/27/16. The employee stated that they have video of the subject and vehicle information. This is the same subject that hit the other area business on Hwy. 64.
9:03 AM Officers received a call from the Park & Rec department reporting that they had a stray bike at their shop. It was a white Mongoose, model 270. Officers picked up the bike.
3:09 PM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that a vehicle, a BMW, dark teal in color, had pulled straight into traffic at Nickle Road and Hwy. 45 and had been weaving in and out ever since. Officers stopped the vehicle. The driver said that their dog had been acting up.
8:27 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a gas drive off. The subject had stopped for gas the day before, but did not have money to pay for it. The business gave the subject until noon today to pay for the gas. They had the subject’s name, phone number and license plate number. They had been unable to reach the subject. Officers sent a teletype to Vilas County to make contact with the subject regarding payment.
Friday, July 1st
9:23 AM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident on 1st Avenue. The female driver of vehicle one was eastbound on 1st Avenue when she met a pickup truck westbound on 1st Avenue. The subject moved towards the curb to let the truck pass. The female subject then struck a parked trailer on the south side of 1st Avenue. Her vehicle sustained damage to the passenger front bumper, fender and front door area. The trailer was struck on the driver’s side wheel causing damage to the fender and tire. There were no injuries. The female subject left a note on the trailer.
11:42 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Farwell Avenue and Neva Road. The male driver was given a 10 day warning for a defective headlight.
Saturday, July 2nd
1:15 AM Officers found an open door at an area business on Century Avenue. They contacted the building owner. Everything was fine.
5:53 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Graham Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was issued a written warning for speed.
8:17 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a truck pulled into the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road as he was pulling out, and the caller noticed that the occupants that got out of the truck were intoxicated. Officers talked with the subjects. They were advised not to drive. They had a designated driver with them. Officers advised the business to call, if the subjects caused any problems.
11:16 AM Officers received a call from a male subject on 1st Avenue reporting that his vehicle was entered during the night and the door was left open. The only items missing were casino cards from the center console.
11:43 AM Officers responded to call from a female reporting that her van was struck in the parking lot of an area business on Superior Street while she was shopping. The striking vehicle was not on the scene. A voluntary report was made.
11:59 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was cited for no insurance and was warned for speed.
2:37 PM Officers received a call from an employee of an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that a male party just stole some items, was walking out of the store and getting into a silver PT Cruiser. The vehicle pulled out of the parking lot onto Prosser Place and then went northbound on Hwy. 45. Officers then received further information that the male party had walked out of the store with a cart full of items, but an employee stopped the male subject on the sidewalk. The male subject then just walked away. Officers located the male subject’s vehicle on Edison Street.
5:44 PM Officers received a call from female subject on Field Street reporting the theft of her picnic table. The female was gone for approximately two months and upon returning she noticed that the picnic table was missing. It was 6 ft. by 4 ft., painted forest green, with metal brackets supporting one side of the bench because of a crack. It weighed approximately 150 lbs.
10:38 PM Officers responded to a report of kids in a white Chevy Lumina lighting off fireworks. The vehicle was last seen at 10th Avenue and Wilson Street. Officers located the vehicle at 8th Avenue and Superior Streets. Four kids were involved. They may receive citations for criminal damage.
Monday, July 4th
4:22 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Birch Street and S. Superior Street. The driver was given a citation for speed.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, June 30th
7:03 AM Officers responded to a call from a female subject reporting that someone broke into her locked vehicle that was parked in her driveway on Riverside Road. The suspects got the door open, put the car in gear/neutral and rolled it forward a couple of feet. They also took the change from the console, dumped it on the seat and left only the pennies. There was damage to the passenger side door. All the damage was photographed. Officers were advised to patrol the area more often.
2:46 PM Officers responded to an accident on Trout Road and Cty Rd. W. A male driver in a Chevy Silverado swerved to miss a deer and hit some trees. The vehicle was towed. The driver was warned for expired registration.
Saturday, July 2nd
1:37 AM Officers were out with a vehicle at Summit Lake Beach. A male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms & drug paraphernalia.
5:53 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Heise Road reporting gunshots west of her house. She stated that they started 20 minutes prior to her call. Officers spoke with 3 parties. They stated that the guns would be put away for the weekend.
8:50 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting a break in at an establishment on Dorr Street in Elcho. The break in occurred between 6/30/16 and 7/2/16. $20 in coins was missing from the register and $10 from a tip jar. Entry was gained by cutting and removing the screen from a screen door and then gaining entry through a window.
1:00 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that he was just involved in a car accident on St. Rd. 45 and Cty Rd. D. The caller stated that another vehicle swiped him. He told officers that both vehicles were off the roadway. A state report was filed.
4:34 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that someone was camping on the north shore of Dark Lake by the boat landing and left a fire smoldering . The caller did not think that it was legal to camp there. The Wolf River Fire Department put the fire out, but they could not confirm if camping was legal there.
4:42 PM Officers responded to a 911 complaint about a group of men launching off bottle rockets towards the beach area from a pontoon boat at Summit Lake beach. The caller said that there were 4 to 6 people in the boat, with an American flag off the back. Officers received a second call reporting the pontoon. Officers talked with people at the beach. They stated that there was a boat parade and some people were letting off fireworks, but no one was intentionally aiming for the beach area.
10:06 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject on St. Rd. 55 reporting that his cabin was broken into within the last three weeks. The burglar came in through the kitchen window. The screen was cut and the glass was broken. One bottle of alcohol was taken. Nothing else was disturbed. The property was not reached by a vehicle because of a chain across the driveway. There were no suspects.
10:14 PM Officers responded to call from a passerby reporting that a subject hit a bear on Cty. Rd. K. The female driver was from Mosinee. There was no damage to the vehicle. A voluntary report was made.
