ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Tuesday, October 31st
7:39 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a gas drive-off that just occurred for $40.73. The vehicle was described as a black SUV that left southbound on Neva Road. The caller gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. They also told officers that the subject may have tried to pay with a credit card at the pump. Officers contacted the male owner of the vehicle. He told officers that his wife usually does pay at the pump. They were going to take care of the bill.
1:08 PM Officers received a call from a female on N. Superior Street reporting that a female subject in a red Alero just dumped garbage into her dumpster. The caller told officers that she just went and checked to see what the items were and there was a bunch of meth stuff in there. The female subject was described as thin and having brownish hair. The caller said that the female subject had parked in front of the neighbor’s house & dumped a 5 gallon pail full of stuff into the dumpster. Officers were given the license plate number of the vehicle. The female subject was identified and cited for dumping the garbage. She was also told that if it occurred again, she would be arrested.
Wednesday, November 1st
9:34 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that someone had reversed his VA payment and had it redirected to a someone in San Mareno, California. The male told officers that he had noticed that his deposit had not been made in his account, so he had called the bank which told him that they had not received it. He told officers that he then called the Veteran’s Administration who told him that they had received a change of address form and a bank form directing them to send his payment to a bank in San Mareno, California. The male was then directed to their fraud department. He was not out any money. Officers contacted the police department in California and made them aware of the incident.
2:46 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting an accident in front of a residence on Edison Street. One vehicle was towed. A state report was completed.
5:36 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Clermont Street and 5th Avenue. A state report was completed.
7:57 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on 5th Avenue reporting that a male subject was in his apartment and he was refusing to leave. The caller also told officers that the male subject was drunk and had stolen a pack of cigarettes. Officers arrested the male subject on a probation hold.
9:04 PM Officers responded to a call from the manager of an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that a male & female subject had shoplifted some items from the store and were putting the merchandise in their vehicle. Officers were going to review the security video.
9:38 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he hit a tree at 9th Avenue and Field Street. He had been traveling south on Field Street approaching 9th Avenue. He told officers that he had been traveling under the speed limit due to the weather conditions. He then attempted to turn westbound on 9th Avenue, but the vehicle skidded due to the snow and struck a tree on the south side of 9th Avenue. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed. A state report was completed.
Thursday, November 2nd
1:54 PM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary school requesting an officer for a nine year old male student that was out of control. He had been throwing items around the room hitting some individuals. He had also been climbing on tables, pulling down light covers and spitting. The student had calmed down by time officers arrived. He left school with his mother.
5:28 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that her wallet was stolen out of her purse while it was left in a friend’s vehicle on 3rd Avenue. Officers were investigating.
7:30 PM Officers received a call from the assistant manager of an area business on Neva Road requesting an extra patrol. The caller told officers that there had been some suspicious activity going on inside and outside this last week. Different people were coming in and staying for a period of time and only buying something small.
8:35 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Arctic Street and Graham Avenue. The male driver was arrested for possession of Schedule II narcotics, operating without a license, and an illegally obtained prescription.
Friday, November 3rd
6:10 AM Officers responded to a report of an accident at 5th Avenue and Dorr Street. A vehicle had hit a building. Officers also received information that the female driver had also hit a pole or tree on Clermont Street. Officers found that she had hit a small tree at 3rd Avenue and Clermont Street. The female driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense. She was also cited for operating left of center, failure to notify police of an accident, hit and run, and failure to keep the vehicle under control at Clermont & 3rd Avenue.
10:47 AM Officers responded to a call from East Elementary reporting that a six year old male student had taken off from school. He was sitting across the street with a teacher. While officers were there with the male student, he tried to run away again.
11:47 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they had a female shoplifter detained. The female subject was cited for retail theft.
Saturday, November 4th
1:43 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Graham Avenue reporting that her neighbor must have hit her car. The taillight was out on her vehicle and the glass was in the neighbor’s vehicle headlight.
4:39 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that an intoxicated and disorderly male subject was inside the business. He then left the store without paying and getting into a blue Honda Accord. The caller then told officers that a different subject got out of the vehicle and was coming into the business. The male subject was cited for disorderly conduct.
5:40 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Farwell Avenue. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
Sunday, November 5th
1:28 AM Officers responded to an anonymous report of a silver Pontiac Grand Am on Charlotte Street with multiple subjects that were being loud. A male juvenile subject was arrested for possession of marijuana and obstruction. He had been listed as a missing juvenile in this county.
1:03 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street report a gas drive off of $21. The vehicle was described as a cream colored Cadillac. The vehicle left eastbound on 5th Avenue. Officers were able to identify and contact the subject. They had attempted to use their credit card, but it didn’t go through. They were going back to the business to pay the bill.
5:44 PM Officers responded to a report of an accident with injuries at Lincoln Street and 5th Avenue. One female driver was cited for operating without a license and failure to stop at a stop sign. Another female driver was cited for no insurance. The vehicles were towed.
Monday, November 6th
7:48 AM Officers responded to a call from a male at Langlade Hospital reporting that they had found a baggie containing a $1 bill and an unknown substance on their desk. They wanted an officer to pick it up. The white substance on the bill tested positive for cocaine. The jewel bags tested positive for meth. The items were placed in the evidence room for destruction. The male caller had no idea who left the bag on his desk.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Wednesday, November 1st
9:44 AM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle versus tree accident at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. B. Two male teen subjects were in the vehicle. There were no injuries. The vehicle was towed. A verbal warning was given to the male driver for having no proof of insurance. A state report was completed.
Thursday, November 2nd
11:50 AM A subject came to the Safety Building to report a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy. 52, near Kettlebowl Hill. There was no one in the vehicle.
Saturday, November 4th
5:50 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she ran into the ditch and hit a tree on Hwy. 52. The vehicle was in the north ditch line and the front end of the vehicle had sustained the only damage from striking the tree. The female caller signed a health care waiver and the vehicle was towed.
7:00 AM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the west ditch on Hwy. 45, south of Cty. Rd. D. One person was walking around the vehicle. There was no damage. The vehicle was removed by a wrecker.
8:48 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she slid into the ditch on Hwy. 52. She told officers that she was unsure if there was any damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was towed. A state report was completed.
9:34 AM Officers responded to a report from WPS that there were a couple of vehicles in the ditch at Hwy. 64 and W. 5th Avenue.
10:09 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he slid into the ditch on Hwy. 45, south of Hwy. 47. The vehicle was on its side. The vehicle was towed. A report was completed.
5:51 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he went into the ditch at Hwy. 64 and Price-Polar Road. The vehicle was towed. A state report was completed.
8:24 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that dogs were running on his hunting property on Cty. Rd. D again. The male suspect was previously cited for dogs at large. The caller provided officers with pictures and videos of the dogs. His property was fenced off and posted with no trespassing signs. Officers arrested the male subject on his Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to pay a fine for dogs at large. He was cited for dogs at large again. He was transported to Corrections.
Wednesday, November 8th
3:41 AM Officers were out with a suspicious vehicle at an area business at Hwy. 55 and Hwy. 64. There were 5 subjects there. One male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana and obstructing. Officers found out that the subject had given a false name, when he was identified by a finger print scan at the jail. He had an outstanding Department of Corrections warrant.
