Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 12/17/18

ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Monday, December 3rd

6:29 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on 6th Avenue reporting that someone stole $400 from her wallet which was under her pillow on her bed. The female gave officers the names of two possible suspects. Both subjects denied being in the room and were searched. No money was found.

8:29 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Virginia Street reporting that an unknown female subject was attempting to break into her neighbor’s house. The female subject was described as wearing a brown coat and dark pants. The subject was located at the back door. The 15 year old female subject was cited for disorderly conduct.

9:37 PM Officers were at a residence on 5th Avenue following up an earlier incident of a missing person/runaway. A 28 year old male subject was arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. A 37 year old male subject was arrested on a Forest County Sheriff’s Office warrant. A 20 year old female subject was arrested for possession of meth and marijuana.

Tuesday, December 4th

7:58 AM Officers referred an 8 year old male student for disorderly conduct at West Elementary.

7:59 AM Officers cited a 9 year old male student for disorderly conduct at West Elementary.

11:30 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on 5th Avenue reporting that her son was under the influence of meth and wanted to leave their apartment. The woman told officers that he had not been physical, but she did not want him to leave the residence because of his drug use. Shortly after calling, the male subject left, taking some of his clothes, going in an unknown direction of travel. He was described as wearing a camo jacket with the hood up and carrying some clothes. The male subject was located and arrested on a probation hold and possession of an illegally obtained prescription.

8:06 PM Officers executed a warrant attempt at a residence on Field Street. Officers arrested a 23 year old male subject on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear for genetic testing. He was transported to Corrections.

Wednesday, December 5th

9:53 AM Officers responded to a call from a male on 5th Avenue reporting that some items were missing from his apartment. He told officers that he had left on 12/4/18 around 9:00 PM and returned home on 12/5/18 around 9:45 AM. The items missing from his apartment included a 55” Samsung television valued at $1,300 and an Xbox 360 valued at $100. The male told officers that he thought the apartment had been locked when he left.

4:14 PM Officers cited a 17 year old female student with disorderly conduct for hitting another male student during class, breaking his glasses at Antigo High School.

4:16 PM Officers cited two 14 year old male students with disorderly conduct for fighting at Antigo High School.

4:18 PM Officers cited a 14 year old female student with disorderly conduct at Antigo High School.

Thursday, December 6th

9:18 AM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a two vehicle accident on Field Street. Property damage only.

Friday, December 7th

5:42 PM Officers arrested a 56 year old male subject at an area business on Edison Street on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

6:21 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a female subject at a residence on Arctic Street was smoking marijuana with her husband. The caller stated that when he picked up his children from the female’s residence, the house smelled of marijuana and so did the children. He then showed the kid’s a pamphlet about drugs and they pointed out a pipe and marijuana and stated that the female subject’s husband had that stuff. Officers went to the residence and knocked on the door. The male subject answered the door. The house did smell of marijuana. The male admitted to officers that he had recently smoked marijuana and handed over everything to officers. He was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

6:36 PM Officers responded to several reports of an accident at S. Superior Street and Freiburger Avenue. The 40 year old male driver of one of the vehicles was cited for inattentive driving.

Saturday, December 8th

2:05 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they had a shoplifter detained. The 87 year old male subject was cited for retail theft.

5:42 PM Officers arrested a 41 year old male subject at a residence on Clermont Street on Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to pay a fine for having a pit bull in the city. The subject was transported to Corrections.

Sunday, December 9th

6:11 PM Officers responded to a call from an 83 year old male subject reporting that he hit a parked vehicle in the high school parking lot. There were no injuries.

8:11 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting that a named 50 year old male subject was intoxicated and had been in and out of the business 3 or 4 times. He said that he was locked out of his apartment, had lost his keys, lost his gloves and he needed to find a place to sleep. When officers arrived, they were unable to locate the male subject.

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS

Thursday, December 6th

 7:12 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she witnessed an accident at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. T. She told officers that both vehicles were off of the roadway. Officers then received another call from a female subject reporting that she was one of the drivers and she was uninjured. She told officers that the other driver was standing outside of his vehicle also. The 25 year old male driver of the other vehicle was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense and having a prohibited alcohol content, 1st offense. Both vehicles were towed.

10:03 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Hwy. 45. One vehicle was in the lane of traffic. Property damage only. The 55 year old male driver of one vehicle was cited for inattentive driving.

3:24 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was involved in a minor accident in the White Lake School parking lot.

6:00 PM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch at Hwy. 45 and Bear Lake Road, in the southwest corner. One vehicle was traveling westbound on Hwy. 47, failed to stop at the stop sign and continued westbound on W. Bear Lake Road. The second vehicle was traveling south on Hwy. 45, avoided hitting the vehicle and drove into the ditch. There was no damage.

10:44 PM Officers responded to a call from a 90 year old male reporting that he went off the road at Cty. Rd. K and Hwy. 55. He stated that he had no injuries. The male told officers that the corner came up quickly and he was not able to stop in time. The vehicle was towed out of the ditch.

Friday, December 7th

7:04 PM County Units assisted with a fire call at an address on Mill Lane in Deerbrook for a shed on fire. A 58 year old male subject was taken by the Antigo Fire Department to Langlade Hospital to get checked over. The fire investigation team responded. The fire did not appear to be criminal in nature.

9:21 PM Officers responded to an anonymous report of an underage drinking party at a residence on E. 10th Avenue Road. 2 female subjects were cited for underage drinking. 2 male subjects were cited for failure to prevent the underage drinking.

Sunday, December 9th

1:55 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle head on collision at Hwy. 64 and Cty. Rd. HH with road blockage. There were no injuries.

Monday, December 10th

5:43 AM The Department of Corrections requested that officers pick up a 39 year old male subject at a residence on E. Walleye Lane in Pearson on a warrant they just placed for violating his electronic monitoring device. The male subject was arrested on the Department of Corrections warrant and transported without incident.

5:56 PM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on N. Langlade Road, south of Hwy. 64. The vehicle did not strike anything and the female driver was not injured.

7:04 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he hit a bear at Cty. Rd. B and Cty. Rd. V. The caller told officers that he did not believe that he had any damage.

Tuesday, December 11th

3:27 AM Officers were out with a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy. 52, just west of Polar Road. The vehicle was towed.

11:25 AM Officers received a call from a male subject from Milwaukee reporting that he lost or someone took a pistol out of his truck on 11/18/18. He told officers that he had been in the area hunting and stopped at an area business on Hwy. 52. He had taken the holster, with the pistol in it, off and put it in the console of his GMC truck. Then on 11/22/18, he noticed that the pistol was gone. The caller had also stopped at an area business in Forest County and had already notified the Forest County Sheriff’s Office. The male told officers that he waited so long to notify law enforcement because he wasn’t positive it had been taken or just misplaced. The pistol was a FNX-45 military model worth $850.

Wednesday, December 12th

11:37 AM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Cty. Rd. A. Both vehicles were towed. The female driver of one vehicle was cited for operating after suspension, driving too fast for conditions and failure to install an ignition interlock device.
