ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, December 25th
5:21 PM Officers responded to a call from a female on Lincoln Street reporting that a female subject took some items from her and now wouldn’t return them. The items included a winter coat, boots and some jeans. Officers made contact with the female subject from Wausau. She told officers that she would return the items the next day.
6:00 PM A male subject came to the Safety Building to report a crash at the Post Office drive through. He told officers that he was making a left turn to pull up to the Post Office drop box, but he cut the corner short and hit the concrete barrier. His vehicle had damage to the rear driver’s side and also a broken window. There were no injuries to the driver. A state report was completed.
Tuesday, December 26th
12:03 PM Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Mendlik Avenue and Edison Street. Both vehicles were towed.
1:00 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was backed into while waiting to leave the parking lot of an area business on Superior Street by a red Ford pickup, which just left. She told officers that she was following the vehicle. Officers advised her to stop following the vehicle as it turned eastbound on Hwy. 64, and to come to the Safety Building to check for damage. Information was sent to all squads and teletypes were sent to the Forest County Sheriff’s Office and the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office. Officers checked the female caller’s vehicle for damage. They could only find a small scratch on the back bumper. Officers stopped the red pickup truck on Hwy. 64, east of Hwy. 55. The female driver of the vehicle told officers that she didn’t realize that she had struck anyone.
2:44 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident at Clermont Street and Century Avenue. One vehicle was towed.
9:09 PM Officers received a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a gas drive off at 4:30pm that day. The caller told officers that a male driver got $15.01 in gas, but told employees that he forgot his money and would come back and pay, but he never did. He drove a white van. The caller also told officers that the male subject comes to the business almost every day. Officers attempted to contact the male subject.
Wednesday, December 27th
4:17 PM Officers were at a residence on Edison Street. The female owner consented to a search. 3 male subjects were referred for possession of drug paraphernalia. One of the male subjects was also referred for felony and misdemeanor bail jumping.
8:31 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that his vehicle and several others were struck in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. Officers checked three vehicles. The reporting male subject was arrested for obstructing.
Thursday, December 28th
6:30 AM Officers responded to a call from a female on Gowan Road reporting that her female neighbor was outside, only in her pajamas and she had been locked out by her boyfriend. The male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping. The female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing.
8:50 AM Officers received a call from a female on 6th Avenue requesting an extra patrol at night because someone had been trying to get into her home. Officers advised her to let everyone in the residence know that if they saw anyone attempting to enter without permission, that they should call 911 immediately.
9:19 AM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident on 5th Avenue. Property damage only. The female driver of one of the vehicles would be receiving some citations. A state report was completed.
12:48 PM Officers received a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a shoplifter. Officers were told that the male subject was not currently in the business however they were able to identify him. Officers were investigating.
3:57 PM Officers responded to a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. Vehicle 2 was backing out of a parking spot and backed in to Vehicle 1 which was legally parked. Property damage only. A state report was completed.
6:43 PM Officers responded to an ambulance call for a female subject that was unable to speak or move at a residence on 4th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers noted the smell of marijuana. They opened a wooden box next to the female subject and found drug paraphernalia. The items were logged into evidence. The female subject was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Friday, December 29th
12:02 AM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting that his Harley motorcycle, which was being stored at an address on Weed Street, was damaged by a female subject. The female subject had told the male subject that she was taking her frustrations out on the motorcycle. The female told officers that she had hit the motorcycle with a hammer and another item. She said that she was going to make a sculpture out of it. There was a dispute between the two subjects as to who was the owner of the motorcycle. Officers advised the subjects to provide proof of ownership.
1:21 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 7th Avenue and Field Street. The driver was cited for operating while suspended and having no proof of insurance. The passenger was arrested on a probation hold.
2:16 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that a male subject, driving a silver Impala came through the drive through and they believed that he was intoxicated. The caller also told officers that the male subject had hit the curb. The vehicle had left going southbound on Neva Road. Officers stopped the vehicle on Neva Road by North Avenue. The male subject was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 2nd offense. He was also cited for unsafe lane deviation.
3:06 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a female shoplifter. The female subject was cited for retail theft.
3:10 PM Officers responded to a call from a female at an area business on Neva Road reporting that a very intoxicated male subject kept coming into their lobby. The caller told officers that he had just left again, going northbound on Neva Road. The male subject was located at another area business on Neva Road. He was given a ride to the hotel where he had been staying.
3:32 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 64. The male passenger took off on foot to an address on Western Avenue. The male subject was arrested on a Department of Corrections felony warrant, resisting arrest and misdemeanor bail jumping. The male subject had left his small child in the vehicle when he fled.
4:29 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a male shoplifter. The male subject from Shawano was cited for retail theft, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Saturday, December 30th
1:57 AM Officers were out with a female and a male subject at 5th Avenue and Morse Street. The male subject was cited for open intoxicants.
4:41 AM Officers received a call from a female on N. Hogan Street reporting that she had caught a male subject in her garage. This had happened approximately 40 minutes prior to her call. She told officers that she would be coming to the Safety Building to talk to an officer. Officers spoke to the female at the Safety Building. She told them that she had caught the male subject in her garage and chased him down. He had a green backpack which she searched and found nothing. The female told officers that she believed that she had caught him before he took anything. She said that the male subject had apologized profusely. She also told officers that she has had a lot of items go missing lately. Officers advised the female to get them a list of the missing items. Officers went to the male subject’s address on Pine Street to speak with him, but no one would come to the door.
8:01 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on 3rd Avenue reporting that a male subject just tried to kick in his door for $25.00. The male subject was now walking away, going north on foot. He was described as wearing a large coat with a hooded sweatshirt, with the hood up. Officers stopped the male subject at 1st Avenue and Superior Street. He was arrested for resisting arrest, obstructing, disorderly conduct, misdemeanor bail jumping, felony bail jumping and drug charges.
Sunday, December 31st
12:26 AM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting that a male subject was lying in the road on Dorr Street, south of 5th Avenue and asking for help. The male subject was very intoxicated. Officers walked him to his residence and helped him into his apartment.
10:47 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that someone backed into her on Hwy. 64. The other driver was a male subject from Mukwonago.
12:54 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a gas drive off of $26.54 by a small gray Chevy SUV that was now headed southbound on Neva Road. The caller gave officers the license plate number. Officers called the male owner and left a message. 1/1/18 2:00 PM Officers received a call from the male subject who told them that he would contact the business.
Monday, January 1st
3:17 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Division Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated. He was transported to Corrections.
4:57 AM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a fight at an area business on 5th Avenue. There had been no physical altercation, but the male subject was trying to instigate one. He had then said that he would return with a gun. The male subject was removed and given a ride.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Thursday, December 28th
4:33 PM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Hwy. 55, just north of Rolling Stone Lake Road. The female driver had already contacted a wrecker. A state report was completed.
4:47 PM Officers were at a residence on 2nd Avenue. A female subject was arrested for possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation hold. A male subject was arrested on a probation hold.
7:25 PM Officers responded to a report of a car in the ditch at Cty. Rd K and Pratt Road. There were no injuries. There was only minor damage to the front left bumper of the vehicle. The vehicle was removed from the ditch by a wrecker. Officers advised the driver to slow down earlier for road conditions. A state report was filed.
Friday, December 29th
2:36 PM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the south ditch on Hwy. 52, just east of Kent Road. The male driver had a bump on his shoulder, but would wait at the scene until officers arrived and then go to the hospital if necessary. The vehicle was towed. A state report was completed.
3:55 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she went off of the road on Hwy. 52. A state report was completed.
10:06 PM A male came to the Safety Building to report an accident that occurred on 12/28/17 on Cty. Rd. V about 2 or 3 miles from Cty. Rd. A. The male’s daughter had been a passenger in the vehicle when it ran into the ditch. His daughter had received a small cut to her upper lip, lost a front tooth as well as receiving some bruising to her chin. The female told officers that she had hit the dash board of the vehicle when it went into the ditch. She had then called her father and he picked her up and took her to the emergency room.
Monday, January 1st
12:00 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he ran off the road on Wistful Vista Road after a deer ran out in front of him. The airbags had deployed, but there were no injuries.
4:05 AM Officers came upon a vehicle in the median on Hwy. 45 by Cty. Rd. N. No one was around the vehicle. The keys were gone and there were open intoxicants inside of the vehicle. Officers observed 3 sets of footprints in the snow going eastbound into the brush/woods, east of Hwy. 45 and they heard branches breaking. A short time later 3 Hispanic males came out of the woods. All denied driving the vehicle and claimed that a 4th subject had been driving. All 3 subjects also denied being able to speak English. Officers contacted the registered owner of the vehicle who said that she had borrowed the vehicle to another female subject who then let her boyfriend drive it. Two of the male subjects were cited for open intoxicants and failure to notify law enforcement of an accident. The third male subject was cited for open intoxicants, failure to notify law enforcement of an accident, having no insurance, driving on the wrong side of a divided highway and operating without a license, 2nd offense. A crash report was completed.
7:40 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female on S. Rollwood Road reporting that her barn was on fire and fully engulfed with 120 to 140 sheep inside. The owners told officers that they had just returned home and found one of their barns fully engulfed.
Tuesday, January 2nd
9:12 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that his vehicle was in the ditch on Hwy. 64 near Polar-Evergreen Road. He told officers that around 6:00 AM he had swerved to miss a deer and ended up in the ditch. A state report was completed.
Wednesday, January 3rd
5:42 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he went into the ditch at Hwy. 55 and Pickerel Lake Road on the southwest side. A snowmobile crossing sign was knocked down. The Highway Department was notified. A state report was completed.
