Antigo Police & Langlade County Sheriff Reports for 2/5/18

ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Monday, January 22nd

9:14 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that two male subjects in a black SUV entered an area business on Neva Road and appeared heavily intoxicated. The caller told officers that the driver stumbled into the business. The vehicle left southbound on Hwy. 45. The SUV was pulling a trailer with four snowmobiles on it. Officers stopped the vehicle at 8th Avenue and Superior Street. Officers determined that the male subjects were not intoxicated.

Tuesday, January 23rd

12:10 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he hit a dumpster behind an area business on 5th Avenue. He told officers that he was backing up while on his phone and side-swiped the garbage dumpster.

Wednesday, January 24th

8:15 AM Officers responded to a report of a truck that went over the centerline and then into the ditch on Hwy. 64 by N. Hogan Street. There was no damage. The vehicle was towed out of the ditch.

Thursday, January 25th

3:29 AM Officers were out with a vehicle at Peaceful Valley Park on 6th Avenue. The female driver told officers that she had been drinking and felt that she had too much and pulled over. She had been there for a while. Officers never observed her driving. She was warned that she could be arrested as the vehicle was running. Officers gave the female subject a ride to a friend’s house on 9th Avenue.

9:27 AM Officers responded to a call from West Elementary requesting an officer for a seven year old female student that shoved another student hard enough to make them fall. The female student would not settle down. Officers transported the student home to her mother.

2:31 PM Officers referred a female student for disorderly conduct for her behavior at Antigo Middle School on 1/24/18.

3:50 PM A female came to the Safety Building to report the theft of her phone from an area business on 5th Avenue. She told officers that she googled the phone’s location and it showed up at an area business on Hwy. 45. Officers arrested a female subject for obstruction and a probation hold. She was cited for theft.

Friday, January 26th

9:00 PM Officers responded to a report of $2,500 in gold missing from a safe belonging to a female on Deresch Street. The female was having her son remove the safe from the residence when she decided to check what was inside. The female told officers that the key had been missing for a while. The son was able to get the safe open and it was then discovered that the gold was missing. It was taken sometime within the last year. There were no suspects.

Saturday, January 27th

2:34 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. X. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated and a probation hold. He was also cited for unsafe lane deviation.

4:59 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a gentleman in a maroon four door vehicle just struck his light blue Town & Country van in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64. Vehicle 2 was legally parked in the lot. Vehicle 1 was turning into a parking spot and collided with Vehicle 2.  A report was completed.

Monday, January 29th

12:31 AM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female on Field Street reporting that a female, who looked like she was on drugs, showed up at her house and said that she was running away from a male subject. The caller told officers that the female had tried to get into her house. The female subject could be heard in the background screaming incoherently. When officers arrived, the female was on the front steps hallucinating. While talking to the female subject in the officer’s car, it was clear that she couldn’t take care of herself. She didn’t know where she was, who she was or how she got there. Officers transported the female subject to the hospital. Once there, the female subject tried to run away at one point. After receiving some treatment, the female told officers that she had taken some acid with a male subject. Officers tried to make contact with the male subject, but were unsuccessful. Information was forwarded to Probation and Parole.

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS

Wednesday, January 24th

5:23 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he came upon a vehicle on the side in the ditch on the corner of Hillside Road and Mapleview Road. The vehicle was unoccupied. There were footprints leading away from the vehicle. There were no visible signs of damage to the vehicle. The vehicle was towed. Officers attempted to make contact with the registered owner, but were unsuccessful. They would follow up at a later time.

4:08 PM Officers responded to a call from a local towing company reporting that they were enroute to a vehicle in the ditch on Cty. Rd. K, east of Long Lake Road. The caller did not know what damage there was to the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was an elderly female. She was written for re-exam.

6:41 PM Officers were doing a follow up at a residence on 5th Avenue. A female subject was referred for bail jumping and possession of marijuana, repeat offender. A male subject was arrested for possession of meth, possession of marijuana, felony bail jumping and a probation hold.

Thursday, January 25th

1:22 PM Officers executed a search warrant in a combined investigation with the Forest County Sheriff’s Department at a residence on Riverside Road in Pearson. Several items were recovered. A female subject was in custody in Forest County on a reckless homicide charge, maintaining a drug trafficking home, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of oxycodone and possession with intent marijuana. A male subject was in custody in Forest County on numerous drug charges – maintaining a drug trafficking home, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of oxycodone and possession with intent marijuana.

6:05 PM Officers responded to a call from Langlade Hospital reporting that a female subject had crashed her snowmobile somewhere in Elton, near Sherry Road and was at the hospital injured. The snowmobile was a Polaris 600 Indy SP. The female subject’s husband told officers that the snowmobile trails in the Elton area near Muraski Road were like a maze.

Saturday, January 27th

12:32 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that he crashed into the south ditch, 30 feet off the road, on Cty. Rd. N, just west of Cty. Rd. H. He had no injuries. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense. The vehicle was towed. A state crash report was completed.

12:15 PM Officers responded to a report of a snowmobile versus tree accident on Lost Lake Road, approximately 1.5 miles west of Hwy. 55. The female driver was having hip and leg pain. A snowmobile accident report was completed.

Monday, January 29th

9:52 PM Officers received a call from a female from White Lake reporting that she met an older man, in his late 50’s, on Saturday, January 27th in the back parking lot of an area business on Bissell Street in White Lake. The female told officers that the male subject came up to her vehicle and started talking to her. He kept asking to go to her apartment. The caller told officers that she thought that the male wanted to rape her. She gave officers the male subject’s first name. He was described as a white male, about 5’2” with black or gray hair. The caller also told officers that an old Facebook account of hers had been hacked that day and someone had been going to inappropriate websites. The account was now disabled. The female had no proof who had hacked the account. Officers advised the female to call them if she got any more information.

Tuesday, January 30th

12:54 PM Officers were out with a vehicle in the ditch at Hwy. 64 and Flak Road. The vehicle was towed out of the ditch. The female driver was warned for inattentive driving.

Wednesday, January 31st

7:25 AM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that “flew off” of Cty. Rd. T between Cty. Rd. TT and Hwy. 55. The caller told officers that the vehicle doors were open and the vehicle was down in the trees. They did not have any information on injuries. When officers arrived they found out that the vehicle was not in the trees and there were no injuries. All occupants were out of the vehicle and were fine. The vehicle was towed.
