ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Tuesday, July 23th
Officers arrested a subject on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant at the Probation and Parole office.
Officers took a subject into custody on a probation hold at the Department of Social Services.
Officers responded to a report of a sewer drain cover that was missing at the corner Lincoln Street and McMillan Avenue. Officers put out a cone and notified the Street Department.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting a gas drive off in the amount of $27.00. The only description that they could give officers was that the driver was a male subject that left southbound in a small, maroon colored car.
Thursday, July 25th
Officers arrested a subject on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant. He was taken to Corrections.
Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a two vehicle accident in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. There were no injuries. Property damage only.
Officers responded to an anonymous tip that someone at an address on Lincoln Street was smoking marijuana. Officers could detect a faint smell of marijuana in the hallway, but were unable to pinpoint where the smell was coming from.
Dispatch witnessed an accident looking at a camera out on 2nd Avenue. A maroon pickup truck with a topper struck a parked van outside the Safety Building. The driver of the truck parked to look at the damage to the van and then got back into his truck and left. The jail was able to match camera footage with records of visitors and determined who the striking vehicle belonged to.
Friday, July 26th
Officers responded to a report of an accident at a residence on 5th Avenue. A subject was backing out of a driveway and struck a parked vehicle on the roadway, causing damage to both vehicles. Photos were taken.
Officers stopped a vehicle at Center Street and N. Superior Street. Officers arrested the driver on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant. The subject was also cited for operating without a license and having no insurance.
Saturday, July 27th
Officers were out with a group of subjects on 5th Avenue. One subject was given a warning for disorderly conduct for breaking a beer bottle in front of an officer. The subject did clean it up.
Officers responded to a report of an accident in the parking lot of an area business on Hwy. 64. A vehicle pulling a boat backed into a blue Ford Escape and then left the scene. Officers were given a license plate number of the striking vehicle, but it was not correct.
Sunday, July 28th
Officers responded to a report of a fight in progress at an area business on Edison Street. Officers separated the two male subjects.
Officers stopped a vehicle at Elm Street and 5th Avenue. A standard field sobriety test was conducted. The driver was taken into custody.
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Superior Street.
Officers responded to a call from a male on Lincoln Street reporting that some kids on a porch directly across from his residence were shining a laser into his eyes and his grandchildren’s eyes. The caller told officers that the subjects were now on the upper floor of the residence doing the same thing. When officers confronted a male subject in the residence across the street, they admitted to shining the laser. Officers confiscated the laser and warned him about that behavior and the potential charges he could face.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a retail theft. The caller told officers that at about 9:00am a male subject walked out of the business with merchandise and then at about noon he came back and price switched some items. The business had photos of the subject and wanted to see if officers could identify him.
Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Edison Street. The driver was cited for operating after revocation forfeiture and was given written warnings for a cracked windshield, expired registration, failure to fasten seat belt and having no insurance.
Monday, July 29th
Officers arrested a subject on a probation hold at the Probation and Parole office.
Officers arrested a male subject on a probation hold at the Probation and Parole office. He was transported to Corrections.
Officers arrested a subject on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant at the Probation and Parole office.
Officers responded to an anonymous complaint that a van had almost t-boned the caller’s vehicle at Superior Street and Forrest Avenue and it was crossing the centerline. The vehicle then continued north on Superior Street and then turned west onto 5th Avenue. The caller gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

Wednesday, July 24th
Officers responded to a report of a white, four door vehicle that just spun into the other lane of traffic and into the ditch on the west side of Hwy. 45 at Cty. Rd. X. By the time officers arrived, they were unable to locate the vehicle.
Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 64 and Hafemeister Lane. The driver was arrested for bail jumping, operating after revocation and possession of marijuana.
Officers responded to a report of a collapsed shed on fire on School Road. No one was around.
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident on Dorr Street in Elcho. There were no injuries.
Officers received a 911 call reporting that a brown Subaru Forrester had cut someone off and almost side swiped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. X. The caller gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. All units were out of position.
Sunday, July 28th
Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was following a male subject driving a four wheeler at Cty. Rd. J and Cty. Rd. H that was actively drinking intoxicants in the roadway and then stopped to urinate in the road. The male subject was described as in his 50s, wearing blue flannel and tan pants with a hat. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
Officers assisted another agency with an accident at Hwy. 64 and Price-Polar Road. A vehicle had been driving westbound on Hwy. 64 and then entered the ditch at Price-Polar Road. The driver appeared to have no injuries but a medical event had caused them to leave the roadway. The Antigo Fire Department arrived and transported the driver to Langlade Hospital.
Officers received a call from a subject reporting trespassing and damage to his house on W. Goose Island Lake Road. The caller told officers that per a neighbor, since the storm, two subjects had been staying in his house. The caller had told one of the subjects that he could check his house for damage, but they could not stay there. Now, it was noticed that the house is flooded because the water in the bathtub had been turned on and left running.
Monday, July 29th
Officers responded to a report of a tree down across the road on Cty. Rd. S, between Cty. Rd. A and Cty. Rd. O. The tree was removed.
Tuesday, July 30th
Officers responded to a report of theft on Hwy. 64. A construction company reported the theft of tools and a chainsaw.
