ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Wednesday, September 18th
Officers responded to a report of disorderly conduct at East Elementary School on 7th Avenue.
A male came to the Safety Building with concern for his missing vehicle. He told officers that he let his daughter’s boyfriend use his vehicle on Monday, September 16th. The male subject came back without the vehicle and could not remember where he left the vehicle. The reporting male told officers that his daughter’s phone pinged at a location on Stony Road and Sherry Road at 7:21 PM Monday night. The male subject said that he slept in the woods on Monday night and walked out on Oak Road about 8am. Officers later received a call from the reporting male stating that they found the vehicle and were taking it back to his residence.
Thursday, September 19th
Officers responded to a call from an establishment on Clermont Street reporting that someone had driven across the lawn between their building and some offices on Clermont Street causing damage to the lawn. The caller told officers that it occurred sometime after 10:30 PM the night before.
Officers responded to a report of criminal damage at Antigo High School.
A male subject came to the Safety Building to report that he had fallen victim to the Social Security scam. He immediately went to his bank and closed his account. He also called the Social Security Administration.
Officers were with a male subject while his was in court and his bond was set. The male subject wanted to turn himself in on his Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrants for failure to appear – felony bail jumping, failure to appear – misdemeanor bail jumping and operating after revocation. He was taken into custody and escorted to Corrections.
Officers responded to a call from a female on Dorr Street reporting that a subject with an outstanding warrant was at her house, standing on the back porch. The subject was described as wearing a black shirt and polka dot pants. When officers arrived, they were unable to locate the subject.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they caught a female subject shoplifting. Officers found out that the female was already on probation for retail theft with four prior incidents. The female subject was arrested for retail theft and taken to Corrections.
Officers responded to a report from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office that a male subject was involved in a disturbance in Green Bay that evening and he was believed to be staying in Antigo. They requested that officers try to locate the male subject, and if located, to take the subject into custody on disorderly conduct and criminal damage charges. Officers located the male subject at a residence on Charlotte Court. He was taken into custody and held until officers from Brown County could arrive to pick up the subject.
Friday, September 20th
Officers responded to a report of an elderly male subject who struck the drive thru at an area business on Superior Street and possibly struck the building. Officers discovered that the driver had nudged a sign at the drive thru putting a small scratch on his front bumper. There was no damage to the sign or the building. The male driver was written for re-exam.
Saturday, September 21st
Officers stopped a vehicle at Edison Street and 4th Avenue. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting a retail theft.
Sunday, September 22nd
Officers responded to a 911 call from a male reporting that he was assaulted while riding his bike past an area business on Edison Street by one male subject and one female subject. He told officers that the female subject got in his face and the male subject struck him several times. The male caller was unsure of his injuries, but said that he did not need EMS to respond.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting a gas drive off of $41.61. The vehicle was described as a gray, smaller station wagon with a roof rack. The vehicle left going south. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
Officers responded to a call from a male reporting damage to the load securement straps on his company truck sometime since 5:30pm on Friday, September 20th, while it was parked at an area business on Neva Road. It appeared to officers that someone with a knife or sharp object had cut six ratchet straps that went over the load on the trailer. They also cut two plastic straps that kept the wood together. Nothing else was damaged. Photos were taken. Officers were going to check area businesses for video footage.
Officers received a call from a male reporting that a female subject that was standing behind him at an area business on Hwy. 64 took his credit/debit card after he set it down, when he was done depositing money on his account. He told officers that he left the business but went right back inside to look for it. The business told the male that the incident was on their security video. The caller told officers that he had already frozen his account.
Monday, September 23rd
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting that they had a counterfeit $20 bill.
Officers executed a warrant attempt at an address on 1st Avenue. The subject fled but was apprehended at 2nd Avenue and Clermont Street and arrested on a felony Department of Corrections warrant.
Officers responded to a report of a theft in progress at an area business on Superior Street. Two female subjects, one about 13 years old and the other 15 or 16 years old, had left the business with some items and were last seen walking through the parking lot of another area business on Superior Street. Officers located the two female subjects on Dorr Street. Officers located some of the items taken and they were returned to the business.
Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that when she came out of an area business on Jerome Street, she found a note on her truck from someone saying that her vehicle had been struck and that the striking male subject went around the back of the business. The female went around to the back and found the truck that had struck hers. The male subject said that he was going to go back and tell her. The male told officers that he had swung short and scraped against the other truck. There were minor paint scrapes on the passenger side front bumper of the female’s truck.
Officers executed a warrant attempt at a residence on S. Superior Street. The subject was taken into custody.
Officers responded to a report of a hit and run accident in the parking lot of an area business on Superior Street. The female driver of the struck vehicle told officers that an SUV struck her vehicle and then took off going north on Superior Street. Officers received a call from a male subject reporting that he hit a vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on Superior Street and he took off because he was scared, but he told officers that he felt bad so he called it in.

Wednesday, September 18th
Officers responded to a two vehicle accident at Western Avenue and Barske Road.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 45 reporting that an elderly female subject was there trying to send some cash to some scammers in a package. Officers brought the package to the Safety Building.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 45 reporting another possible scam. They told officers that they had a packet with money and it appeared that the mailing party was trying to send it to scammers.
Officers stopped a vehicle at Hill Road and Cty. Rd. S. A subject was taken into custody.
Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 45 in Elcho reporting that a red Chevy Cavalier with Illinois license plates drove through the yard of their business. The caller told officers that the male driver of the vehicle had come into the business to use the bathroom and seemed “off,” either intoxicated or having a medical issue. The male subject then left going north on Hwy. 45. Officers sent a teletype to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office with the information. Officers took photos of the damaged lawn.
Thursday, September 19th
Officers responded to a report of a fire at Cty. Rd. D and Hwy. 47. A dump truck was on fire.
Officers responded to a call from a female on Bissell Street reporting that her son’s vehicle had been vandalized. Someone had drawn on the vehicle with a Sharpie marker.
Officers responded to a call from a female on Sunset Road reporting a prowler in her yard. She told officers that her dogs have been barking repeatedly and while on the phone with officers, the female stated that the subject walked by her front window. She said that the subject was wearing dark clothing and heading north on Sunset Road. Officers spoke with a male subject who believed that the person was back in the woods. He showed officers the road in the back and stated that he had seen a vehicle head back there earlier. Officers checked the area on foot looking for suspects. Officers did not find any vehicle or tracks in the woods. They located some spray paint cans and some areas that had been spray painted. The owners said that they were not spray painted before. Officers also found a shoe that the owners said was not theirs. Officers were unable to locate any prowlers. The homeowners reported that a lawn mower and a bike were missing.
Friday, September 20th
Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Parkside Lane. A female subject was taken into custody and transported to Corrections.
Saturday, September 21st
Officers responded to a call reporting a burglary at Cty. Rd. B and Tappa Road. The owners told officers that when they got to their cabin/trailer at the end of Tappa Road, it appeared to have been broken into. Officers advised the couple to not go inside the residence and wait outside for officers to arrive.
Sunday, September 22nd
Officers stopped a vehicle at Cty. Rd. TT and Cty. Rd. A. Officers conducted a search. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, felony possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The vehicle was towed.
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the water at the Lawrence Lake Boat Landing on Polar Road. The female driver told officers that she was at the boat landing checking on her father who was fishing. She got out of her vehicle and it rolled into the water. The vehicle was towed out.
Monday, September 23rd
Officers received a call from a male on Crystal Lake Road reporting that someone used his cottage for target practice and that a password book had been stolen on Labor Day weekend while they were out on the boat and the cottage was locked.
Tuesday, September 24th
Officers responded to a report of an accident at Cty. Rd. A and Hwy. 55. A male driver went into the ditch on the corner. He was not injured, but was acting strangely. A passerby told officers that the vehicle was traveling north on Hwy. 55 and went to turn right, but the vehicle went straight into the northwest ditch. The vehicle was towed out of the ditch and parked. The male driver was escorted to the Safety Building as his condition caused officers concerns about his driving.
Officers responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. G. One vehicle struck a pole, but a WPS lineman stated that the pole was ok. One female subject had to be checked out, but there were no other injuries. Debris was in the roadway, but there was no other blockage.
