ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS

Monday, August 21st

5:23 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that his vehicle was hit on 6th Avenue next to an area business. Officers found out that the incident apparently occurred the day before. Officers observed the surveillance video of the business, but no accident occurred at that location. The vehicle was hit while at a different location. Officers directed the owner to complete an accident report.

6:08 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 64 reporting that they had a female shoplifter detained. The female subject was charged with retail theft.

11:06 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Clermont Street and 1st Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for a defective tail light.

Tuesday, August 22nd

1:54 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 6th Avenue. The driver was cited for speed and no insurance. They were also given a warning for expired registration.

8:35 AM Officers responded to a report of a white Chevy Malibu parked in front of a fire hydrant next to a residence on 10th Avenue since the day before. Officers issued a parking citation.

11:38 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting vandalism to another tree on their property. Branches were broken off the tree. The business requested an extra patrol. Officers thought that it may be possible bear damage. Bears had been seen in that area in the past.

1:08 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that she was just involved in an accident in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. The female had been backing her vehicle out of a parking spot. When she turned the front of her car, it hit the back end of a legally parked vehicle. It then struck another vehicle that had been legally parked.

3:18 PM Officers received a call from a female reporting that a female with brown hair in a ponytail, was in the passenger seat of a white Monte Carlo with an approximately one year old child in her lap. The driver of the vehicle was described as a male subject, with dark hair & glasses and tattoos on his arm. The caller told officers that they were parked at an area business on 6th Avenue for a while and then left towards an area business on 5th Avenue without the child. The caller gave officers the license plate number of the vehicle. The vehicle owner was cited for violation of child safety restraint laws and obstructing.

8:57 PM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a male subject was walking southbound in the southbound lane on Neva Road. The caller told officers that the subject was stepping out into traffic as vehicles passed. The subject was wearing a grey t-shirt and sweatpants with the hood up on the sweatshirt. He was also described as having a thin build and a reddish beard. Officers were unable to locate the male subject.

11:05 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Progress Boulevard and Ackley Street. The driver was cited for operating without a license and was given a written warning for a defective tail light.

11:29 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Kaplanek Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

Wednesday, August 23rd

12:02 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Edison Street and Mendlik Avenue. The driver was cited for no proof of insurance and was warned for a loud exhaust.

12:31 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and Irving Street. The driver was given written warnings for a defective tail lamp and no proof of insurance.

12:03 PM Officers received a call from the Walk In Clinic on 5th Avenue reporting the theft of items from an exam room. Employees had caught the mother of a young male patient going through the drawers in the room. The female subject told them that she was looking for antibiotics for her son. She was told that none were kept in the drawers. It was later noticed that several supplies were missing from the room. Officers were told that the room had been fully stocked the night before.

4:00 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on Deleglise Street reporting that a female subject had backed out of her driveway and struck his truck while he was driving by. The female subject was at fault. She told officers that she hadn’t seen the truck. A state report was completed.

7:30 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The driver was cited for a defective speedometer.

8:01 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Memory Lane and Neva Road. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

8:32 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Forrest Road and Pit Road. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

9:33 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Charlotte Street and North Avenue. The driver was cited for speed, given a driver education pamphlet and was given a written warning for no proof of insurance.

10:08 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Kelly Street. The driver was cited for speed. A driver education pamphlet was distributed.

10:47 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and Graham Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

10:54 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for a defective headlight.

11:12 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Morse Street. The driver was cited for no proof of insurance and was given a written warning for a defective headlight.

Thursday, August 24th

12:15 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 10th Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was cited for speed.

2:21 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 1st Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

2:58 AM Officers were out with a vehicle at an area business on Superior Street. A male subject was arrested on an Ozaukee County warrant for operating after revocation, operating while intoxicated related. He was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

4:39 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Forrest Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

4:55 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Mapleview Road and S. Superior Street. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

7:29 AM Officers received a call from a female subject on Deleglise Street reporting the theft of $110-$115 in cash along with some change from her wallet while it was in her unlocked vehicle parked in her driveway overnight. Officers were advised.

7:42 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on Hwy. 64. The driver was cited for failure to stop at a traffic signal.

4:50 PM Officers responded to a report of a vehicle versus bicycle accident at 5th Avenue and Superior Street. It was actually a vehicle vs. motorcycle accident. A report was completed.

8:49 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The driver was cited for speed. A traffic education class was offered.

11:13 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Rusch Road. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

11:24 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Industrial Park. The driver was cited for operating after suspension and unlawful display of plates.

Friday, August 25th

12:05 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Edison Street. The driver was given a written warning for no tail lights.

12:08 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Edison Street. The driver was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt.

12:24 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Mendlik Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

2:32 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Ackley Street. The driver was cited for operating after suspension and no proof of insurance. They were also given a 7 day written warning for expired registration.

7:48 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Industrial Park Road. The driver was cited for speed. They were going 63 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.

8:35 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Mendlik Avenue. The driver from Appleton was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 8th offense and a probation hold.

9:56 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 3rd Avenue. The driver was cited for failure to make sure their passenger was wearing a seatbelt and not carrying a driver’s license. They were also given a written warning for an improper left turn.

10:42 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Cty. Rd. X. The driver was given a 10 day correction notice for an expired registration.

11:52 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

Saturday, August 26th

12:01 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Avenue and Clermont Street. The driver was given a written warning for a defective headlight.

2:08 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Superior Street and 10th Avenue. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

2:26 AM Officers responded to a call from a male on Hickory Street reporting that he heard his back door open and someone walking into the house. The callers German Shepherd barked and must have chased the subject out. The caller told officers that when he got out of bed, he saw that his two back doors were open. Officers were unable to locate anyone. The male requested an extra patrol. He was advised by officers to keep his doors locked.

7:00 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at North Avenue and Charlotte Street. The male driver was referred for operating after revocation and was given a written warning for speed.

7:55 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and Mendlik Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

8:02 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Forrest Avenue and Mary Street. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

9:01 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at an area business on Neva Road. The driver was cited for open intoxicants in the vehicle and he was given a written warning for unsafe lane deviation. He tested negative for intoxication.

9:23 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on North Superior Street. The driver was given a written warning for failure of a slower vehicle to keep right.

9:40 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 5th Avenue and Field Street. The driver was given a written warning for a defective headlamp and given a verbal warning for failure to yield the right of way.

9:45 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hwy. 45 and Industrial Park Road. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

10:52 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at Kelly Street and Neva Road. The driver was issued a written warning for a defective headlight.

11:56 PM Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a fight at an area business on 6th Avenue. One male subject was arrested on a Waushara County warrant and a Department of Corrections warrant. He was also charged with disorderly conduct and battery.

Sunday, August 27th

1:46 AM Officers stopped a vehicle on Superior Street. A probation hold was placed on a subject for violation of a no drink policy.

2:52 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Birch Street and S. Superior Street. The driver was given a written warning for speed.

4:24 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on 5th Avenue reporting that his apartment had been broken into. He was missing an Xbox One, a controller, charging stand, headset and a couple of games, worth about $430 total. A possible suspect was named. Officers were investigating.

8:06 PM Officers received a call from a female on 9th Avenue reporting that her son was home alone and while he was in the basement he could hear some voices upstairs, so he went upstairs and found some friends of his brother inside their home. The caller told officers that they had climbed up the balcony and went inside. The incident occurred about two hours earlier. Officers cited one of the male subjects with trespassing.

11:58 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at S. Superior Street and Birch Street. The driver was cited for speed.

Monday, August 28th

4:01 AM Officers were out with some subjects at Forrest Avenue and Wausau Road. 1 male subject was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and underage possession of alcohol. A second male subject was cited for possession of tobacco. The male subjects were given a ride to their grandmother’s residence. The alcohol and cigarettes were destroyed. The drug paraphernalia was logged into evidence.

5:52 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Forrest Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was cited for speed.

7:10 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Neva Road and North Avenue. The driver was cited for speed. A traffic education class was offered.

LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS

Thursday, August 24th

8:02 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Hwy. 52 reporting that a vehicle hit a power pole, lines were down and a car was on fire in front of the business. A total of three vehicles were damaged in the lot.

9:49 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a vehicle flew past him at a high rate of speed at Hwy. 45 and Knight Road. The caller told officers that the vehicle was now crossing the centerline and the fog line. The vehicle was described as a gray Subaru Legacy. Officers were given the license plate number. Officers stopped the vehicle. Two juvenile male subjects were in the vehicle. One male was referred for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both male subjects were released to their mother.

Friday, August 25th

1:13 AM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting a structure fire with trees involved on Cty. Rd. I. Officers then received a second call from a male stating that he lived on Angle Road and heard something blow up and could see a fire across the field. Officers found out that the owners of the property were from Pelican Lake. A teletype was sent to the Oneida County Sheriff’s office to have them contact the owners.

1:47 PM Officers received a call from a male on Deer Trace reporting that he had noticed that his log splitter was missing five day earlier, but he didn’t report it until now.

3:52 PM Officers responded to an anonymous report of a dark green Chevy S10 that almost ran the reporting person into the guard rail on Hwy. 64 by Mueller Lake. The caller told officers that the vehicle was westbound on Hwy. 64. Officers stopped the vehicle at Hwy. 64 and Charlotte Street. The male driver was cited for operating left of center and operating without a license. Officers advised the subject not to drive and to have someone with a valid driver’s license pick up his vehicle.

11:41 PM Officers responded to a 911 call from a female subject reporting that she was in a moving vehicle at Hwy. 64 and Hwy. 52 and the driver wouldn’t pull over, despite her asking him to. The driver finally pulled over near Orchard Road on Hwy. 64. The female told officers that the male driver had strangled her and had also thrown some drugs out of the window somewhere on Hwy. 64. The male subject was arrested for assault/battery, false imprisonment, strangulation and bail jumping. He was transported to Corrections.

Saturday, August 26th

8:15 AM Officers responded to a call from a male on Hwy. 64 reporting that he just found his mailbox destroyed by a vehicle and vehicle parts were left behind. The caller told officers that he heard a noise that morning at 7:00 AM. The vehicle was most likely dark colored and missing the passenger side fender flare.

Sunday, August 27th

2:20 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Cty. Rd. K and Fish Lane. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 5th offense and he was cited for operating left of center and was given a warning for a defective tail light. The vehicle was towed.

Monday, August 28th

7:14 PM Officers received a call from a male on Cty. Rd. U, reporting that his generator had been stolen. He told officers that it was a Generac, 14ktu, bigger, outside model.

7:41 PM Officers responded to a call from a male on N. Langlade Road reporting that his mailbox was knocked down. The caller told officers that he was last at the residence at 12:00 PM and the mailbox was intact. He returned at 7:00 PM and the mailbox was damaged. There were tracks going into the ditch, but no other identifiable marks. Small plastic parts were also found. The mailbox and newspaper pole was snapped off near the base.

Tuesday, August 29th

9:14 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that a dark colored four door car was all over the road and almost went into the ditch. The caller told officers that the vehicle was also speeding up and slowing down. Officers stopped the vehicle at Hwy. 64 and Pioneer Road. The male driver from Crandon was arrested on a felony Department of Corrections warrant. He was cited for operating while suspended.
