ANTIGO POLICE REPORTS
Monday, February 27th
11:51 AM Officers received a call from an area business on Century Avenue reporting that two female subjects from Georgia had stayed there over the weekend and had damaged the room. They also stole some pillows and an iron. The caller told officers that they would try to deal with situation themselves, but would call officers back again if needed.
1:44 PM Officers responded to a call from an anonymous caller reporting that a back door was open and there was a flashing light in the living room of a residence on Clermont Street for the last several nights. The caller told officers that they were concerned because the house was empty. Officers drove past the residence a couple of times that night, not did not see anything out of the ordinary.
4:16 PM Officers responded to a report that the female subject that was the Warrant of the Week was at a residence on Clermont Street. Officers went to the residence. There was no answer at the door.
Tuesday, February 28th
1:53 PM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary School on Graham Avenue requesting an officer for a male student out of control. The kindergartner had thrown a chair. He had calmed down by the time officers arrived. After the officers left, the child ran around and attempted to jump out a window. He was finally escorted to the principal’s office and told to sit there until his mother arrived. The male student was released to his mother.
9:28 PM Officers stopped a vehicle on Neva Road. The driver was cited for speed.
Wednesday, March 1st
8:00 AM Officers responded to a call from North Elementary School on Graham Avenue requesting an officer for an unruly male student. They had attempted to make contact with the boy’s mother. The male student had gone to the library and started to lock the doors so that no one could get in. This was the second complaint officers received about this student in two days. The student’s mother was contacted and the boy was picked up.
10:41 AM Officers received anonymous information that a male subject had been at an area business on Neva Road the day before and was trying to pay with a $50 gold piece. The store would not take it. Officers did not receive a call from the business.
12:22 PM Officers responded to a call from a male subject reporting an accident in the parking lot of an area business on Neva Road. Vehicle 2 entered the parking lot and was traveling through the lot. Vehicle 1 was backing out of a parking spot and the two vehicles collided. Both drivers told officers that they had not seen the other driver.
1:49 PM Officers referred a male student for disorderly conduct for yelling, swearing, threatening and pushing staff members at North Elementary School on Graham Avenue.
Thursday, March 2nd
12:14 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 4th Avenue and Superior Street. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 7th offense and was cited for speed.
11:30 AM Officers responded to a report of a fight at Antigo Middle School. Two male students were fighting during lunch. One male student was cited for disorderly conduct and the other male student was referred for disorderly conduct.
12:31 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Superior Street reporting a gas drive-off of $32.11. The driver was described as an older male subject that was well dressed. The vehicle was described as a blue PT Cruiser with Florida license plates. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
12:45 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on 5th Avenue reporting that they found a cellophane bag on the floor with a white substance in it. Officers picked up the bag. The substance tested positive for bath salts. It was placed into evidence.
4:14 PM A female student was cited for disorderly conduct for being disruptive and disrespectful to staff at Antigo Middle School.
4:14 PM A male student at Antigo Middle School was referred for disorderly conduct for swearing at staff, throwing a chair, not going where he was supposed to and for pushing into a teacher.
4:15 PM A male student at Antigo Middle School was cited for possession of tobacco for having a cigarette at school.
4:18 PM Officers arrested a male subject on Clermont Street on a Langlade County Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to pay a fine for habitual truancy. He was transported to Corrections.
5:08 PM Officers responded to a report of a fight at Antigo High School between two male students. A third male student separated the other two subjects. Officers were investigating.
Friday, March 3rd
11:42 AM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Memory Lane reporting that a male and female subject had trashed a room, stole a microwave and left without paying. Officers were investigating.
3:05 PM Officers responded to a report of a male subject going northbound on Elm Street from 5th Avenue with his arms flailing and talking to himself. He was very suspicious and looking at cars and houses. He was described as wearing all black. Officers located the male subject at Deleglise Street and 2nd Avenue. He was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant. He was taken to Corrections.
11:32 PM Officers responded to a call from a male reporting that a vehicle almost struck his vehicle in the parking lot of an area business on S. Superior Street. The caller told officers that he believed that the other driver was intoxicated. Officers stopped the vehicle at Neva Road and Hwy. 64. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense and was cited for prohibited alcohol concentration and underage drinking.
Saturday, March 4th
1:55 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Century Avenue and Clermont Street. The driver was warned for a faulty taillight.
2:34 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at 6th Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense and was given a written warning for operating without headlights.
7:15 PM Officers responded to a call from an area business on Neva Road reporting a gas drive-off of $23. The vehicle was described as a midsize black or dark blue car. It left southbound on Hwy. 45.
11:41 PM Officers stopped a vehicle at 1st Avenue and Superior Street. The driver was cited for no proof of insurance and was given a written warning for a faulty headlight.
Sunday, March 5th
12:12 AM Officers were out with a vehicle on Charlotte Street. There was a foot chase. Officers were able to detain the male subject. The male subject from Georgia was arrested for possession of drugs. He was also cited for operating with a suspended registration and having no insurance.
2:10 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a fight at an area business on 5th Avenue between two male parties. Both subjects left the business once the caller was on the phone with officers. Officers located one of the male subjects on his way home. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated. It was obvious that he had been in a fight because he had a bloody nose and a swollen eye. He declined medical attention. Officers were unable to locate the other male subject.
10:20 AM Officers received a call from a female on N. Superior Street reporting that during the night she had heard a car alarm going off, possibly next door, but didn’t see anything at the time. This morning, she noticed that her driver’s side window was crack, but not shattered. Officers were going to keep the information on file.
1:54 PM Officers responded to a report of a male subject with outstanding warrants walking on Field Street, wearing dark jeans, a stocking cap and a black jacket. Officers arrested the male subject on 3 warrants for failure to appear and 2 warrants for failure to pay fines.
4:17 PM Officers received a call from a male subject from Birnamwood reporting the theft of a car trailer. He told officers that the trailer had been parked at an area business on Superior Street. The trailer was described as a 2016 Lamar car hauler, 83x18, black with an oak ramp and flip up ramps. Officers were investigating.
Monday, March 6th
1:57 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Hudson Street and 5th Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.
7:05 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Western Road and 1st Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.
7:36 AM Officers stopped a vehicle at Western Road and 1st Avenue. The driver was given a written warning for failure to stop at a stop sign.
LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Friday, March 3rd
1:22 PM Officers received a call from a female on Forest Road reporting that she gave out her social security card number and her credit card number to someone on the phone. She was not sure if she had given them her date of birth. She told officers that she thought that it was her credit card company verifying information. The caller gave officers the phone number, which she attempted to call back, but it was not a working number. She told officers that she had already called her credit card company and cancelled her card. Officers advised her to also call the Social Security Administration and ask them about any possible risks to her social security number.
9:23 PM Officers received a call from a female subject on Rosedale Road reporting that about three weeks ago, someone took a sledge hammer to their porch. She told officers that it happened again about four days ago. She didn’t see anyone or any vehicles. The porch now had cracks, chips and a chunk of wood was missing. Officers were investigating.
9:37 PM Officers were out with a vehicle in the ditch at Cty. Rd. I and Rosedale Road. The male driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 7th offense, operating after revocation (operating while intoxicated related) and a probation hold.
Sunday, March 5th
6:08 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a car in the ditch on the corner of Cty. Rd. I and Rosedale Road. The elderly male driver gave officers various stories about to how he ended up in the ditch. Officers called the male subject’s wife. She and their son came and attempted to get the vehicle out of the ditch, but were unsuccessful.
7:12 AM Officers responded to an anonymous report of a vehicle versus tree accident at Indian Hill Drive and Enterprise Lake Road. Both airbags were deployed, but no one was around. A teletype was sent to the Oneida County Sheriff’s office to try and make contact with the vehicle owner. The vehicle was towed and held.
9:53 PM Officers were out at an accident at Hwy. 64 and Buettner Road. There was no damage. The female driver from White Lake was cited for no insurance.
Monday, March 6th
5:36 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting a vehicle in the ditch at Cty. Rd. A and Cty. Rd. O. The young female driver was shaken, but not injured. The female was cited for driving too fast for conditions. The vehicle was towed.
11:19 AM Officers responded to a call from a female reporting that 2 used syringes were on Cty. Rd. T, in the gravel. Officers located the needles and disposed of them.
Tuesday, March 7th
7:06 AM An officer just witnessed a tree from the courthouse lawn, fall onto two city squad cars and one county squad car in the east parking lot at Clermont Street and 2nd Avenue. The insurance company was notified.
