Antigo Police Reports for 2-29-16

Monday February 15th-

Midnight: Officers assisted subjects with a custody issue.

9:21 AM: Officer conducted traffic stop near the intersection of 4th and Superior for improper left turn and took operator into custody on a Criminal Traffic charge of Operating After Revocation.

9:48 AM: Officers responded to vicious dog complaint at 8th and Morse Streets. Complainant stated dog had growled at him for the 2nd time in two years and advised dispatcher he would the cut dog’s head off next time the dog growled at him and then would notify APD. Complaint found to be unfounded as the seemed to growl a bit when barking, but did not show any signs of aggression.

11:51 AM: Officers responded to a report of a vehicle striking a light pole in the parking lot of a local store.

Tuesday February 16th

4:24 AM: Officer responded to a vehicle bumper on fire at a local apartment complex. Was later determined fire caused by faulty wiring harness.

5:22 AM: Officers responded to a reckless driver complaint however were unable to locate vehicle in question.

8:55 AM: Officers respond to a report of people ‘fornicating’ in a truck, in the parking lot of a local store. Reporting party indicates the truck has been in the lot for several days. Upon further investigation, a male party was taken into custody on a Langlade County warrant.

1:53 PM: School Resource Officer (SRO) issues two Disorderly Conduct citations to two students for tardiness. One student was reportedly tardy 45 times already this year and the other has tallied 33 tardies.

2:46 PM-Officer responded to a possible e-mail scam.

6:15 PM-Officers responded to a report of a possible altercation between a male and female on 10th Street. Altercation found to be strictly verbal between a male and female party.

7:38 PM- Following a traffic stop near the intersection of 5th and Dorr Streets, subject arrested on drug charges and cited for Operating After Suspension.

Wednesday February 17th-

12:28 PM: Officer responded to a reported gunshot near a local apartment complex. Upon further investigation, officers found complaint to be unfounded.

2:27PM: SRO cited a student for truancy after student has been reportedly absent for 14 days this semester.

Saturday February 20th-

1:12 AM: Male cited for Underage Drinking 2nd Offense and Urinating in Public behind a local tavern.

8:36 AM: Officer responded to a report of a dog left outside for days with no food or water. Dog reportedly howling the night before.

4:35 PM: Officer responded to a reported drive-off at a local fuel station. Driver reportedly pumped $34 in fuel and departed without paying. Officers unable to locate vehicle, placed a bulletin for neighboring jurisdictions.

9:30 PM- Officer responded to a reported dog attack.

Sunday February 21st-

1:18 AM: Officers responded to a reported fight behind local tavern

6:OO PM: Officers respond to a request for assistance with a shoplifter at a local store.

Monday February 22nd-

2:48 AM: Following a traffic stop near the intersection of Superior and 9th Streets, subject arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Nekoosa and Possession of Cocaine.
