Antigo qualifies nine, sending five Special Olympians to state

Earlier this month, the Antigo Unified Schools Special Olympics team competed in the regional track and field meet in Merrill. The team had nine athletes that qualified for state but was only able to send five. Representing Antigo this year are: Sarah in the 100m relay and female shot put; Brady in 1500 m run, 800 m run and javelin throw; Adam for the 50 m run; Eric for softball throw; and Darrick for 400 M Run. These athletes will compete at state, held at Stevens Point on June 8 – 10.
