Music in the Park will be having an “Amateur Antigo Talent Night” on Thursday, August 24th at City Park. The Antigo Community Theatre is assisting with the event and will be holding auditions on Tuesday, August 1st at the Volm Theater. Registration is at 4:30 PM with first come, first served with the tryouts beginning at 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM. ACT is hoping for a variety of talent to showcase. There will be five age categories: nine years and under, 10 to 12 years, 13 to 17 years, 18 to 30 years, and 30 to 100+ years. Do to time constraints there will not be a band category. The sound system with microphones will be provided by Northwoods Karoake on the night of the talent show.
ACT is hoping for a variety of talents, such as juggling, song, dance, prose, instrumental, magic, standup comedy, or a theatrical scene. Whatever special talents you have, ACT hopes you will share them with the community. There are some guidelines that will need to be followed such as no act will be longer than 4 minutes, no group larger than eight as well as no lip syncing or karaoke.
