Calvin John Crum, age 56, of Antigo died November 15, 2019 at his home. Calvin was born on October 2, 1963 in Antigo to the late John “Art” and Dorothy Margaret (Casey) Crum.
Calvin attended Antigo High School. He was an outstanding athlete and loved playing basketball, baseball, and football.
He lived for some time in Pennsylvania working at horse racetracks. Calvin later joined the US Army and served our country in Kuwait during Desert Storm, Afghanistan, and South Korea.
Calvin enjoyed trips to the casinos, taking chances on lottery tickets and traveling. His travels were far and wide, including Grand Canyon, the Florida coast and Graceland.
Survivors include 7 brothers; Ronald, Keith, Richard, Russell (Kay), Theodore “Ted” (Jeannie), Jeff (May) all of Antigo, and Larry (Kelly) of Wausau, a sister-in-law; Betty Crum of Cudahy, WI and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Jerry, William and Robert and a niece Amanda.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5, at 11:00 AM at Strasser-Roller Funeral Home with Rev. Deb Pimm officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 until the service at the funeral home. Military honors will be held at the funeral home following the service. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
