Carol Brown

Posted

Carol Brown, 91, of Elcho, met eternal life on August 28, 2026.

And while we are sad to say goodbye, anyone who knew Carol knows that she would probably prefer we stop the crying, get together, tell some stories, have a laugh, and maybe put a Brewers or Packers game on the television.

The daughter of Lawrence and Bernice (Ackerson) Molster, Carol was born December 11, 1934, in Merton, Wisconsin.

Carol leaves behind five daughters: Victoria Johnson, Diane (John) Haas, Robin (Jef) Muelver, Tracy (Scott) Cincotta, and Kelly (Stuart) Crocker; brother Richard Molster; grandchildren James, Victoria, Kristopher, Kevin, Andrea, Tiffany, Maxwell, and Cora; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was a legend. She loved people, enjoyed life, and made the most of every opportunity to have a good time. She loved visiting with friends, attending church, cheering on her favorite teams, and being part of her community. She was not one to sit quietly in the corner. If something was happening, Carol was going to join in-and if she heard something she didn’t agree with, well, you were probably going to hear about that too.

She was a devoted Elcho-Pelican Lake Lioness, volunteered with Elcho Meals on Wheels, and proudly reigned as the “Brat Barn Queen” at the Elcho Brat Barn Fundraiser for many years.

She loved the Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers-and loved betting on them even more. Carol also loved playing cribbage and could turn just about anything into a wager. If there was a bet happening at the bar, Carol was in.

She also took pride in planting and caring for the flowers at the Elcho Post Office every year.

Carol was preceded in eternal life by her parents; ex-husband William Brown Jr.; sisters Joyce and Nancy; brothers Larry and Lee; grandson Benjamin; and great-grandchildren Mason and Chloe.

Carol leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, friendships, flowers, sports, wagers, and memories.

She was one of a kind.
She was unforgettable.
She was Carol.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Jack Lamar Pavilion in Elcho. A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Pavilion with Pastor Jeff Pommerening officiating followed by burial the Lakeside Cemetery, Summit Lake.
