Charles "Chuck" Tebbens, 92

Charles “Chuck” Tebbens, age 92, of Antigo died Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Evergreen Terrace under the care of LeRoyer Hospice.

Chuck was born on June 12, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Charles and Elsie (Wittcon) Tebbens. He also had 2 brothers who preceded him in death.

He attended high school in the Bronx, graduating in 1944.

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Navy Surface Warfare from 1945-1948. He was honored to participate in the Never Forgotten Honor Flight to Washington DC in 2013.

Chuck was employed as a police officer for the New York City Police Department for 21 years. In 2008, he moved to Antigo.

He was a boxing and gymnastics instructor, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and nature.

In accordance with his wishes no services will be held.
