LANGLADE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS
Apr. 9th
Deputies conducted two early morning traffic stops, issuing verbal warnings for speeding on State Rd. 64 near Ackley Rd. and Price-Polar Rd. A separate incident on Highland Rd. involved the removal of a deer carcass from the roadway.
Apr. 8th
Deputies initiated a traffic stop around 4 a.m. on County Rd. D/State Rd. 47, issuing a correction notice for non-registration and a defective headlight.
Deputies responded to a traffic complaint at a school parking lot on Antigo St., where a student was reported spinning tires and chasing another with a truck. Parties involved were spoken to and warned of possible disorderly conduct citations.
A theft was reported on County Rd. F involving items allegedly taken and damaged by a caregiver. The resident was advised to file a formal report.
A crash on US 45 and State Rd. 47 involved a trailer pulling a bobcat going off the road—no injuries were reported. The trailer required a tow.
Two assist citizen calls were placed from Turtle Lake Rd., one for an elderly male unable to contact his home aide, and another regarding a horse in poor condition. The animal’s condition was assessed and deemed acceptable, but the situation will be monitored.
A suspicious activity report on County Rd. G and a welfare check on Forest Rd. were resolved without issue.

Throughout the day and night, deputies handled an array of incidents, beginning with overnight traffic stops on Clay Rd. and County Rd. J/US 45 for speeding, along with a vehicle check at Turtle Lake Rd. regarding suspicious activity that was cleared without issue.
Business checks were performed at multiple locations, including Bissell St. and Antigo St.
Motorist assists took place on Deer Park Ln., where a vehicle had been left roadside for over 24 hours, and on County Rd. V, involving a disabled Nissan Rogue. Welfare checks were also conducted in response to family concerns about an uncontactable relative on Forest Rd.
A notable call involved an animal complaint about a man releasing a dog on Lonely Rd. without retrieving it. Further checks clarified this was routine transport, and no abuse occurred.
Deputies also assisted with a report of a vehicle lockout at the library on Clermont St. and a civil complaint over engine noise on Oak Rd.
Evening calls included traffic stops for non-registration, speeding, and vehicle defects. A search during a stop resulted in a citation and bail jumping referral. A camper trade dispute on Pit Rd. became the subject of civil discussion, while another case involving trespass and a property access issue was documented on County Rd. J.
Apr. 5th

A property damage accident on County Rd. A near US 45 resulted in no injuries but did yield citations for operating without insurance. A later lockout on Lincoln St. was resolved successfully, and multiple traffic stops led to warnings for speeding, stop sign violations, and vehicle lighting issues.
A motorist assist near Valley Vista Rd. required a tow after a vehicle became disabled in the northbound lane. Officers responded to a 911 hang-up on Price-Polar Rd. involving a child; the situation was determined to be non-emergency and the phone was taken away.
Calls continued into the evening with a fire alarm check, follow-up traffic warnings, and a domestic complaint on Sherry Rd. regarding a custody exchange.
Apr. 3rd
An early morning call on County Rd. S near State Rd. 47 reported a disabled vehicle. All tires were confirmed off the road, and the vehicle was scheduled for removal.
Deputies also responded to a 911 hang-up on US 45 that was later confirmed to be a pocket dial.
Throughout the day, several welfare and civil complaints were addressed, many linked to previous disputes. These included follow-up on a custody disagreement, and a continued issue involving vehicle storage near a local business.
A harassment complaint from the safety building lobby was also handled, and one residential 911 call on Blue Bell Rd. yielded no response due to phone issues.
A burglar alarm triggered by glass break detection was investigated on Enterprise Lake Rd., but was determined to be caused by a power reset issue.
Apr. 2nd
A series of early morning vehicle-related calls began with deputies assisting a driver locked out of a truck on Neva Rd. and helping an elderly woman return to her rural residence on Sekany Rd. after a hospital visit.
Deputies responded to two separate vehicle-in-ditch accidents on US 45—one near Birch Rd. involving a stuck driver, and another near County Rd. T where a vehicle was partially off the road but unoccupied. No injuries were reported in either.
On Lake St./Maple St., a caller reported vehicle damage after running off the road and hitting a box with a blue light; the vehicle was repaired and rotated back into service.
Deputies checked on reports of horses loose on County Rd. AA and located two secured in a fenced area. Multiple civil and harassment complaints were addressed, including one involving an incomplete tree service and another involving threats made by a neighbor.
Later in the day, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Forrest Rd. where an intoxicated subject was taken into custody after threatening and assaulting others during a property dispute.
Multiple 911 hang-up calls were logged, including one from County Rd. HH where no contact could be made with the caller.
A vehicle was found in a ditch on State Rd. 55 with visible damage—no injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed.
A call on County Rd. B reported a tree limb touching power lines and sparking. WPS was notified, and the line was determined not to be a fire hazard.
