At 5:12 AM, an officer responded to an animal complaint concerning a service dog that had broken its chain and become entangled on a porch. The officer was able to locate the owner and the dog was returned. A warning was issued to the owner for failure to register the dog.
A probation hold was executed at 10:25 AM on Clermont Street at the Probation and Parole office. An individual was taken into custody without incident and transported.
At 11:04 AM, a 911 hang-up call was received. Upon callback, the individual stated the call was accidental as the phone was in their pocket.
A traffic stop was conducted at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Superior Street at 12:49 PM for a failure to signal. The driver was given a verbal warning.
A report of a lost wallet was made at 2:16 PM. The reporting party stated they lost their wallet in the Walmart parking lot on State Road 64 the previous day and requested a call if it was turned in.
A traffic stop was conducted at 5:00 PM at the Dairy Queen on Neva Road. Another traffic stop occurred at 7:27 PM at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Clermont Street, resulting in a citation.
At 6:26 PM, officers investigated a suspicious activity report at the Tap House.

At 10:59 PM, a report of suspicious activity was made regarding yelling in an alley. Officers were in the area.
July 25, 2025
An officer on patrol noted a suspicious unoccupied vehicle in City Park at 1:31 AM. The registered owner had been in contact with law enforcement earlier in the day.
A silent drive-through alarm was triggered at a Neva Road location at 4:36 AM. Officers found the building to be secure. A second silent alarm from the same location was received at 5:49 AM, and again, the building was found to be secure.
At 5:39 AM, a traffic stop was conducted at Century Avenue and Progress Boulevard because a driver was riding their brakes.
A warrant arrest was made at St. Joseph's Outpatient Center on Aurora Street at 5:52 AM. The subject was taken into custody and transported.
A report of fraudulent activity on a bank account was made at 10:20 AM from a 6th Avenue residence. After investigation, it was determined that no fraud had occurred.
A disorderly conduct incident was reported at 11:15 AM on Charlotte Street. A female reported being hit in the legs the previous day and had a visible mark.
At 1:01 PM, a traffic stop was conducted on South Superior Street at Forrest Road, where the driver was advised to slow down.
A hit and run that occurred on July 13th at Aspirus Langlade Hospital was reported at 3:51 PM. The facilities manager reported that an employee's vehicle had been struck and that they now have video footage of the incident.
An intoxicated male was reported to be lying on the sidewalk at KK's on Neva Road at 5:13 PM. The individual was detained.
A traffic stop for speeding at 10th Avenue and Superior Street at 5:14 PM resulted in a written warning. Another traffic stop at 5:47 PM on South Superior Street in front of Schroeder's Gift resulted in a verbal warning for speeding and non-registration.
An animal complaint was received at 6:37 PM regarding a dog left in a vehicle on Superior Street. The vehicle was parked in the shade with the windows cracked. The owner, who was at the fair, was contacted and returned to care for the dog.
A complaint of two vehicles drag racing on South Superior Street near Forrest Road was made at 8:16 PM.
At 9:49 PM, a traffic stop for unnecessary acceleration at Superior Street and Graham Avenue resulted in a verbal warning.
A disorderly conduct incident was reported at 10:21 PM on Nantasket Street involving an individual speeding in a car, which led to an altercation where a truck window was smashed.
A car versus pedestrian accident with no obvious injuries was reported at Antigo Liquor and Tobacco on Neva Road at 11:36 PM. The pedestrian was cited for sudden movement into traffic.
July 26, 2025
Multiple traffic stops for speeding occurred in the early morning hours. At 12:05 AM at Neva Road and North Avenue, a driver received a written warning for speed and no proof of insurance. At 12:35 AM at the BP Travel Center on Neva Road, a written warning for speed was issued. At 12:36 AM at Neva Road and Willard Avenue, another written warning for speed was given.
At 12:51 AM, a bank deposit was made at the CoVantage Drive Thru.
A disorderly conduct incident was reported at 12:59 AM on 5th Avenue where two people were throwing drinks at others. The individuals involved left the scene.
A 911 hang-up call at 10:20 AM from a Virginia Street residence was determined to be a child playing on the phone.
A traffic stop at 11:38 AM at Mendlik Avenue and North Superior Street resulted in a verbal warning for a cracked windshield and no insurance. Another traffic stop at 11:47 AM at Neva Road and Badger Avenue resulted in a verbal warning for failure to yield the right of way.
At 12:26 PM, a driver received a verbal warning for an unsafe lane deviation during a traffic stop at Superior Street and 3rd Avenue. A traffic stop for speeding at Neva Road and Center Street at 12:56 PM resulted in a verbal warning.
Citizens expressed concern at 2:46 PM about large potholes from recent construction on Dorr Street at 9th Avenue. An officer checked the area and found everything to be in order.
An animal complaint was received at 4:13 PM about a brown male lab mix that had entered a yard. The dog had a black collar but no tags.
A domestic disturbance was reported at 5:29 PM on 3rd Avenue where a neighbor reported two people fighting. The situation was resolved when one of the parties left.

A woman who had been accidentally locked out of her residence on Pearl Avenue for the evening was assisted by an officer at 8:33 PM.

A report of a stolen vehicle was made at 2:42 AM.
At 4:17 AM, an officer on patrol checked on a vehicle with an open trunk at 1st Avenue and Lincoln Street and found everything to be secure.
A welfare check was performed at 9:34 AM at the Kwik Trip on South Superior Street. An individual was waiting for a ride and everything was determined to be okay.
A two-vehicle property damage accident with no injuries was reported at 12:15 PM in front of the fairgrounds, with the vehicles moved to AmeriGas on Neva Road.
A citizen was assisted at 12:25 PM at Taco Bell on Neva Road regarding a refund issue.
A 911 call was received at 1:01 PM about a child locked in a vehicle.
A traffic stop at 4:43 PM at Superior Street and 3rd Avenue resulted in a verbal warning for speeding.
At 7:09 PM, an officer was requested to give an individual a ride from Aspirus Langlade Hospital. The individual decided to walk instead.
An animal complaint was received at 7:57 PM regarding a dog in a vehicle at Walmart. The responding officer found everything to be in order.
A traffic stop at 8:33 PM at South Superior Street and Forrest Road resulted in a verbal warning for speeding, a cracked windshield, and an obstructed plate.
A theft that occurred a couple of days prior was reported at 9:07 PM.
July 28, 2025
A harassment complaint was filed at 7:48 AM at McDonald's on Neva Road.
At 8:14 AM, a subject turned themselves in on a Department of Corrections warrant at the Langlade County Safety Building.
A stolen bicycle was reported at 9:00 AM.
A citizen requested to speak with an officer at 12:22 PM.
A vehicle repossession was reported at 1:25 PM.
A report of a lost backpack was made at 6:23 PM. The backpack was lost between 5:00 and 6:00 PM on the path from Cornerstone Chiropractic to Cŕhh.
At 5:08 PM, a person came to the Safety Building lobby to report that their license plate had been removed and their vehicle was hit at the Hoffman House.
A disorderly conduct incident at 6:21 PM resulted in both parties being mailed disorderly conduct citations.
A report of lost earbuds was made at 6:05 PM, which were turned in at the Safety Building.
Suspicious activity was reported at 7:05 PM at a construction site at the intersection of Dorr Street and 10th Avenue, where a caller saw people taking items.
A deer that was hit by a car and needed to be dispatched was reported at 8:26 PM on the south side of State Road 64 by the dog park. The deer ran off into a cornfield.
At 8:17 PM, law enforcement was requested to check on a residence to ensure no one was staying there. There was no answer at the door.
July 25, 2025
At 2:23 AM, a traffic stop at US 45 and Branch Road resulted in a verbal warning for speeding.
A report of cows in the roadway on County Road C came in at 5:11 AM. The owner was contacted and advised that help was on the way to secure the animals, which were no longer on the road.
At 5:37 AM, a citizen informed the department that he would be cutting trees off US 45 and his vehicle would be parked on the roadside.
Deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity on Dorr Street at 7:03 AM. A male was reported to be urinating on a Pepsi machine before moving to a pavilion and later bothering people at a Shell station. An officer made contact with the individual in front of the Elcho Fire Department.
A resident on Country Aire Lane made a complaint at 8:05 AM about a neighbor's continuously barking dog and an inoperable vehicle on the road. A responding deputy noted the vehicle was off the road at the end of a driveway and not a hazard.
A motorist assist was conducted at 8:11 AM for a broken-down semi on County Road T at Spring Lake Road. The parties on scene were working on the vehicle.
A DNR matter was reported at 8:30 AM regarding a fawn with a broken leg in the middle of County Road AA at Crestwood Road.
A 911 hang-up call was received at 10:16 AM, with the open line sounding like someone walking. A deputy checked the area and found everything to be secure. Another 911 hang-up at 11:27 AM was an automated crash detection from an iPhone that had fallen off a trailer on County Road I; the owner confirmed there was no emergency.
A caller reported a suspicious person walking on State Road 64 at 11:51 AM, believing it might be a wanted subject from another county. A deputy made contact and confirmed the individual was just out for a walk.
An insurance claim for a windshield chip caused by a rock from a construction zone on State Road 64 was filed at 1:48 PM.
At 2:56 PM, a traffic complaint was made about a white SUV speeding and passing in a no-passing zone on US 45. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle. Later, at 8:51 PM, another complaint about a blue Toyota driving erratically on US 45 was received; a deputy drove to the county line but was also unable to locate that vehicle.
A driver received a verbal warning for speeding during a traffic stop at 9:36 PM on State Road 64 at Orchard Road.
A large bonfire on South Superior Street prompted a burning complaint at 11:58 PM.
July 26, 2025
At 7:44 AM, a citizen came to the station to report a theft of wood and tires from his wagons that occurred about a year ago in Gleason.
A resident on Western Avenue reported two missing calves with collars at 7:47 AM. The owner later called back to state the calves were found and had just been misplaced.
An older, brown hunting dog without a collar was reported found on Schuett Lane in Elcho at 8:24 AM.
Deputies provided an escort for over 175 ATVs on State Road 55 at 10:09 AM.
A harassment complaint was filed at 10:10 AM regarding unwanted text messages. The reporting party was advised on the proper procedure for handling the situation.
A car-versus-deer accident with no injuries was reported at 11:26 AM on State Road 64. The deer ran off.
Multiple traffic stops were conducted throughout the day. At 4:32 PM, a verbal warning for speed was issued on State Road 64. A citation for speed was issued at 4:52 PM on County Road S at Park Road. A verbal warning for speed was given at 6:35 PM on County Road A at County Road TT. At 8:30 PM on US 45 at Old 26 Road, a driver received a verbal warning for speed. A citation for operating while suspended was issued at 9:13 PM on US 45. Verbal warnings for speeding were also issued at 9:16 PM on US 45 at Knight Road and again at 9:36 PM on US 45 at County Road V. At 9:57 PM, a driver was given a verbal warning for speeding and having no proof of insurance. Another verbal warning for speed was given at 10:58 PM at US 45 and State Road 47.
A complaint about people shooting guns near State Road 64 was received at 9:50 PM. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the source.
At 11:23 PM, a motion sensor alarm was triggered at a property on US 45. Deputies found the building to be secure.
July 27, 2025
A noise complaint from a neighboring campsite on Park Road was received just after midnight.
At 12:08 AM, a traffic stop on US 45 at Industrial Park Road resulted in a verbal warning for speed.
An alarm call was received from a US 45 location at 2:31 AM. A responding deputy reported everything was clear.
At 5:19 AM, a deputy checked on an unoccupied vehicle at the Augustine ATV ramp.
A high-risk traffic stop was conducted at 7:25 AM on a white corvette on County Road C that was observed speeding. The driver was issued a citation.
A complaint about garbage being dumped on Nonnemacher Road was received at 7:36 AM. The caller noted some of the garbage contained identifying information.
A citizen requested a tow at 9:29 AM after their vehicle became stuck in a muddy driveway on Pence Lake Road.
Multiple motorist assists were conducted. At 11:32 AM, a camper with a flat tire on US 45 was able to complete the change without assistance. At 12:48 PM, a broken-down motor home on US 45 was well off the roadway. At 6:47 PM, a deputy assisted an RV that had blown a tire on State Road 64, and at 7:27 PM, another deputy checked on a truck pulling a camper on the same road.
A traffic complaint regarding a white Lexus driving recklessly on US 45 was received at 11:56 AM.
A resident on State Road 47 requested to speak with a deputy at 2:58 PM about a neighbor spreading rumors.
A driver was warned for being in the wrong lane during a traffic stop at 3:23 PM on US 45 at County Road A. Other traffic stops resulted in a citation for speed at 7:03 PM on US 45 at Rasmussen Street, and verbal warnings for speed at 7:19 PM on US 45 at County Road J and at 7:37 PM on State Road 64 at Grudgeville Road.
A single-vehicle, no-injury accident occurred at 10:43 PM on County Road D at Elbow Road, where a Jeep hit a tree after going into a ditch. A tow was called and a crash report was filed.
July 28, 2025
An abandoned 911 call from a location on State Road 47 was received at 1:46 AM. A callback went to voicemail.
Early morning traffic stops for speeding resulted in verbal warnings at 3:48 AM on US 45 at Sunset Road and at 4:23 AM on State Road 64 at Highland Road.
At 6:18 AM, an object was reported to be blocking the northbound lane of US 45 south of State Road 47. The highway department was notified. At 8:05 AM, building materials were reported in both lanes of US 45 at Parkway Lane, but they were moved before a deputy arrived.
A 911 open line call was received at 10:28 AM from a location on County Road G. A male party called back to advise everything was okay.
A fraud report was filed at 1:13 PM by a resident on County Road C, who paid a $4,000 deposit to an HVAC company for work that was never started.
Traffic complaints were received at 4:24 PM for a dark blue Chevy SUV driving erratically on State Road 64, and at 4:29 PM for a blue Trailblazer crossing the fog line on the same road.
A controlled burn of a brush pile was reported on Sugarbush Road at 5:33 PM.
At 6:15 PM, a deputy was dispatched to put down a deer in a ditch on Claire Road. The assignment was completed.
A caller reported seeing a male taking items from a construction site at Dorr Street and 10th Avenue at 7:09 PM, noting that he sees the man there every night.
A report of a stolen AC unit from a US 45 property was received at 7:23 PM. This was later determined to be a misunderstanding, as the owner was simply having the unit replaced.
A resident on Cole Street in Elcho reported at 8:01 PM that she believed someone tried to break into her apartment due to damage on the door trim. She saw nothing on her security camera.
During a motorist assist at 9:11 PM on US 45, a driver advised he had struck a deer earlier and would be filing a self-report.
Traffic stops resulted in verbal warnings for an expired registration at 9:37 PM on US 45 at Sunnyside Road, for a defective headlight at 11:01 PM on County Road A at County Road B, and for speed and no proof of insurance at 11:41 PM on US 45 at County Road T.
July 29, 2025
A car-versus-deer accident was reported at 5:31 AM on County Road X at Western Avenue. The caller was not on the scene and stated he would file his own report; the deer was deceased in the ditch.
At 6:24 AM, a citizen reported losing his wallet the previous day. The wallet was later found.
A citizen called at 9:13 AM to provide information that his stolen truck was at a property on Price-Polar Road and that an engine swap was being performed on it.
