Clarence Holbrook, 91

Clarence Holbrook, of Shawano, formerly of White Lake died Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the Cottages in Shawano. He was 91 years old. He was born on April 27, 1925 in White Lake, a son of Arthur and Lillie (Boyd) Holbrook. He married Bernadette Gauthier Soper on August 25, 1966. She preceded him in death on March 24, 1998.

He attended Wilson graded school. He was employed at Yakee-Bissell Flooring mill in White Lake. He moved to Zion, Ill. and worked at Pacific Boilers in Waukegan, Illinois for several years and retired from the American Motors Auto plant in Kenosha in 1985.

He returned to White Lake and was a member of Four Corners Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Sheryl (Al) O'Malley of Sheboygan, Mary (Javiech) Yanhzou of Zion, IL, Julia Holbrook of Shawano; three sons, William Soper of Racine, Robert Soper of Wittenberg, Charles (Kathryn) Soper of Bassett; 13 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Holbrook and a sister in infancy.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Four Corners Assembly of God Church with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Burial will take place in Langlade Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Bradley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
