Bottoms Up, A Celebration of Wisconsin Taverns & Breweries October 17^th 6:30-8pm Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont Street, Antigo "Bottoms Up" celebrates Wisconsin's taverns and the breweries that fueled them. Beginning with inns and saloons, author James R. Draeger explores the rise of taverns and breweries, the effects of temperance and Prohibition, and attitude about gender, ethnicity, and morality. Play & Learn October 20^th 9:30-11am Antigo Community Church - Room #2, 723 Deleglise Street, Antigo. Play & Learn is a weekly play group program for parents, caregivers and children from birth to age 5. Staff will provide a parent lesson, an activity for parents and children to do together.  The activity will build skills for school readiness and milestone achievement. Quarterly Ages and Stages questionnaires are made available to parents and caregivers to assist families in helping their children to reach age based development milestones. "Not So Scary" Halloween Trail October 21^st 5-7pm YMCA of the Northwoods, 2003 E Winnebago St, Rhinelander. Walk down the trail of another world which includes ghouls, goblins and fairy princesses or whoever/whatever you'd like to dress up as that night! Enjoy refreshments and a bowl of scarily delicious chili. This is a free family event, but please remember to donate a perishable food item to the local Rhinelander area food pantry.

Merrill Historical Society Cemetery Tour October 22^nd 11am, 2pm & 6pm & October 23^rd 2pm. Join local historians Jane Francoeur and Wayne Vandre for a walk through history. The 2016 theme is "Women at Work and in Business" featuring: Mabel Downie Wittman, Etta Noel Akey, Josephine Poirier, Jane Bierman, Bertha and Lillian Fleischfresser, and Evelyn Broecker. Please Note that the tour is an hour and a half long, all spent walking and standing, children under 12 won't find much to entertain them (no discounts), please park near the Merrill Memorial Park sign and flagpole along Memorial Drive, bring a flashlight to the 6pm tour. New Hope Shelter Free Hayrides October 22^nd 1-6pm New Hope Shelter, 601 N. Summit Dr., Crandon. SS Mary & Hyacinth Parish Harvest Fair October 22^nd-23^rd 819 3^rd Ave., Antigo. Festivities kick off on Saturday with a mass at 4pm with music by Stone Soup Brothers, followed by a fun Oktoberfest celebration with German cuisine, beer & more. On Sunday, mass will be at 10:30am.
