"The Art of the Quilter V - Stiches in Time" January 19th-February 3rd (Saturdays & Sundays only) 11am-3pm WOWSPACE, 114 Vinal Street, Wittenberg. "The Art of the Quilter V - Stiches in Time" Sponsored by Applewood Lane Alpacas and CWECoop.  This is a non-juried, non-judged show.  A 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place People’s Choice will be awarded. New this year, an Award of Excellence will be awarded to one quilter as determined by a committee of award winning quilters. The 2019 show will also include a featured quilt which was shown at the Chicago World’s Fair, a guest speaker/trunk show - Lois Wilhelm on January 20th @ 1pm at the Community Center, weekly demonstrations of quilt techniques and/or projects on Saturdays at 1pm, and a selection of gently used quilting books and back issue quilters’ magazines available for a free will offering. Please join us in once again making this one of the best attended shows at WOW.

Strong Bones with Kathy January 29th & January 31st (Every Tues. & Thur.) 9-10am Langlade County Senior Center, 1225 Langlade Rd., Antigo. Strong Bones is an ongoing strength training program designed to help adults become or stay fit, strong & healthy. Individuals will improve muscle strength, bone density, self-confidence, sleep and vitality. Also, participants have shown a decreased risk of diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, depression & obesity. Classes are offered for an hour, twice a week.  Pre-register by calling the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 715-627-6232.

Tax Free Investing Class January 29th 6-8pm Northcentral Technical College, 312 Forrest Ave., Antigo. Part of the Personal Financial Planning Series! Immunization Clinic January 30th 9am-4pm Langlade County Health Department, 1225 Langlade Road, Antigo. The immunization clinic is available to provide childhood immunizations & adult vaccinations. The vaccinations are FREE to children 2 months - 18 years of age if you have Medical Assistance or no insurance. Adult vaccinations are available some with a minimal fee or FREE if you have MC or MA. Preschool Story Time January 30th 10:30-11:30am Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. Join us for story time at the Antigo Public Library! This is a great way for kids who haven't started school yet to meet & socialize with peers. Every week we'll read 2 or 3 books together as well as doing some songs & movement. We also do a simple craft or coloring page that helps kids develop creativity & motor skills, & occasionally (attendance permitting) other activities such as parachute play.  This event is geared towards preschoolers, but older or younger kids are welcome to attend as well.

Play & Learn January 31st 9:30-11am N4013 Hwy. 45, Antigo. Play & Learn is a weekly play group program for parents, caregivers & children from birth to age 5. Staff will provide a parent lesson, an activity for parents & children to do together.  The activity will build skills for school readiness & milestone achievement. Quarterly Ages & Stages questionnaires are made available to parents & caregivers to assist families in helping their children to reach age based development milestones. Deerbrook Bridge Runners Classic Cruise Vintage & Antique Snowmobile Ride February 2nd Registration 10am, ride begins 12pm. Quinn's Bar, N5294 County A, Deerbrook. New sleds are welcome too. Fun for the whole family at this annual snowmobile ride. Food, drawings, prizes, and karaoke after the ride. Registration fee is $10 and includes a commemorative lapel pin, soup and sandwich supper and a chance to win $100. Riders are welcome to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Food Pantry and a percentage of the clubs profits will go the Food Pantry as well. Benefit for Todd Brass February 2nd 10am Tattle Tales Sports Bar & Grill, N1192 Antigo St. (Hwy. 45), Elcho. Todd was in a severe auto accident on January 5th. He is currently in the hospital at UW-Madison. He will be facing a long road to recovery and many more medical expenses in the years ahead. There will be live music, raffles, bake sale, a 50/50 dart tournament, a pool tournament and a silent auction bag tournament. Food will also be provided. Langlade County Community Ceramics, a non-profit painting group that meets every Monday and Friday from 9am-Noon at Sts. Mary & Hyacinth, Classroom 8, 819 3rd Ave., Antigo.  Class cost is $3.00, to cover paint and anyone is welcome. We also take art-related field trips four times a year.

Antigo MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers), a chapter of an international group that offers encouragement and support to moms of kids ages 0-5. We have relevant and interesting speakers, fun crafts, yummy food and free childcare while we meet.
