53rd Annual Amsoil World Championship Snowmobile Derby Week January 8th-17th Eagle River Derby Track, 1311 N. Railroad St., Eagle River. Vintage Competition January 8th-10th - Classic Vintage Races dedicated to the grand old racing machines of the sixties, seventies and eighties. World Championship January 14th-17th - Classes include everything from kids, women, stock and modified racing. It hosts 3 separate racing venues: ice oval, sno-cross & vintage racing. Thursday evening features time trials, Friday night features “Friday Night Thunder”, Saturday features quarter & semi-finals leading up to Sunday’s Championship Finals. Races start at 10am.

Laona Lions 4th Annual Predator Hunt & Fundraiser January 9th 1pm -? Mudslingers, Cavour. Prizes for largest, smallest & most coyotes, largest bobcat & largest fox. All prizes determined by weight. All predators must be harvested the day of the event. All Wisconsin game & predator laws apply. Weigh in at Mudslingers from 4-7:30pm. No trapped or cable restrained predators will be allowed. $10 entry fee to all hunters & callers. Register for hunt & pick up mouth pieces before 9am on January 8th.
