Developing a Community Solution: Langlade County’s Response to Illicit Drug Abuse March 19th 6pm Volm Theater, Antigo High School, 1900 10th Ave., Antigo. Langlade County has experienced an unprecedented increase in the abuse of methamphetamine in our community. This is not a unique situation; however, creating an effective solution to this problem is challenging. The time is now to come together as a community to be part of the solution! The evening will include a brief presentation of the nature of the problem, followed by an interactive discussion of the potential responses that Langlade County can undertake. Please also share this invitation with the members of any organizations in which you are involved. All community members are encouraged to attend!

Preschool Story Time March 21st 10:30-11:15am Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. Join us for story time at the Antigo Public Library! This is a great way for kids who haven't started school yet to meet & socialize with peers. Every week we'll read 2 or 3 books together as well as doing some songs & movement. We also do a simple craft or coloring page that helps kids develop creativity & motor skills, & occasionally (attendance permitting) other activities such as parachute play.  This event is geared towards preschoolers, but older or younger kids are welcome to attend as well.

Spring Fling for Scholarships March 21st 4-9pm Brown Street 151 Restaurant, 151 N. Brown Street, Rhinelander.  The Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation and Brown Street 151 team up to provide fun and fundraising for scholarships to RHS graduates. Raffles, surprise bartenders, a dessert auction, along with 50% of bar sales and a portion of meal sales are being donated to scholarships. Dinner will be served from 4-9pm. Generation XYZ "Can't We All Just Get Along?" March 21st 5:30-8:30pm Shawano Lake Golf Course, W5714 Lake Dr., Shawano. For the first time, in a long time, we have multiple generations in the workplace, but these side-by-side age differences can lead to a lot of drama. Entrepreneurial Training Program March 22nd–May 17th (Thurs.) 5:30-8:30pm Wood Technology of Excellence Building-NTC Antigo Campus, EDC Conference Room, 312 Forrest Ave., Antigo.  Come learn how to write a business plan by signing up for the Entrepreneurial Training Program. The Entrepreneurial Training Program is a 9 week course that provides an easy to follow, step by step process to write your business plan!  The minimum number of participants for the class to be offered is 6 students with a maximum of 15 students.  Class fee: $250 with a possibility of $200 reimbursement upon successful completion. Annual Red Arrow Snowmobile ATV Club Dinner Play March 24th Waubee Lake Lodge, 18398 Waubee Lake Dr., Lakewood. A 'Let me be Frank' production, 'Lumberjacks in 2 Axe', hijinks in the Northwoods!! Two brothers come up north to hide from the mob. They get jobs as Lumberjacks. If this doesn’t work out for them, their “backup” plan is to work at Sawbucks as cooks. “Messiah in the Passover” Program March 25th 5:45pm First Baptist Church, 414 Eckart Street, Antigo. First Baptist Church will host the program “Messiah in the Passover.” “Messiah in the Passover” begins with the traditional Passover Seder table, complete with all the articles of this important Jewish celebration.  The symbolic meanings of the various items of the Passover feast will be highlighted as will the relationship to the Last Supper that the Messiah celebrated with the disciples.  Special emphasis to the redemptive significance of the crucifixion will be emphasized. Pastor Dick Kendall says, “This presentation by Chosen People Ministries is a great opportunity for all who attend to better understand the background of the Old Testament Passover & the connection to the Last Supper celebration that we partake of each month in our local churches.” The program is open to all in the Antigo area.  It is suggested that you call Pastor Dick (920-731-4994) to reserve a spot at the tables.  Reservations will help those preparing food items to better plan for the evening event.  The program will last a little over 90 minutes.
