Monday Night Women's Road Bike Ride May 20th 5:30pm Langlade Hospital, 112 E. 5th Ave., Antigo. The Women’s ride meets every Monday evening at 5:30pm at the Langlade Hospital parking lot off Hwy F. Everyone is welcome. Once a month they will meet somewhere different in the county. The alternative rides start at 5:45. Please email Mary Jo Filbrandt for directions and the routes for these alternative rides. There will be up to three groups with a 10-12 mile route and a 20-25 mile route. A bike helmet is required. Strong Bones with Kathy May 21st & May  23rd (Every Tues. & Thur.) 9-10am Langlade County Senior Center, 1225 Langlade Rd., Antigo. Strong Bones is an ongoing strength training program designed to help adults become or stay fit, strong & healthy. Individuals will improve muscle strength, bone density, self-confidence, sleep and vitality. Also, participants have shown a decreased risk of diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, depression & obesity. Classes are offered for an hour, twice a week.  Pre-register by calling the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 715-627-6232.

Tuesday Morning “Geezer” Bike Rides May 21st 10am-Noon Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. Tuesday Morning “Geezer” Bike Rides are every Tuesday morning. They meet at the parking lot behind the Antigo Public Library and Dixie Lunch at 10:00 am in the spring and 9:00 am in the summer. They divide into groups going distances of 10 to 25 miles. Sex Trafficking Awareness and Education Community Presentation May 21st 5:30- 8:30pm Antigo United Methodist Church, 2034 West Fifth Ave., Antigo. Lisa Sennholz, founder & executive director of the non-profit ministry Damascus Road, will speak on the topic of domestic human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation, with an emphasis on sex trafficking occurring in Wisconsin.  Issues that will be addressed include, what is “human trafficking”; where does human trafficking occur; what are the vulnerability factors of the victim; where do traffickers find children and young adults; what recruitment tactics are used; what is the “grooming process”; and what are the signs of a trafficked individual. Road Rash Rally May 22nd-26th Motorama Auto Museum, 4381 Stradale Lane, Aniwa. Come to this new annual event, open to all makes & models of cycles. There will be vintage cycles, bike show, exhibits, swap, food, beverages, camping & live music.

Immunization Clinic May 22nd 9am-4pm Langlade County Health Department, 1225 Langlade Road, Antigo. The immunization clinic is available to provide childhood immunizations & adult vaccinations. The vaccinations are FREE to children 2 months - 18 years of age if you have Medical Assistance or no insurance. Adult vaccinations are available some with a minimal fee or FREE if you have MC or MA. Preschool Story Time May 22nd 10:30-11:30am Antigo Public Library, 617 Clermont St., Antigo. Join us for story time at the Antigo Public Library! This is a great way for kids who haven't started school yet to meet & socialize with peers. Every week we'll read 2 or 3 books together as well as doing some songs & movement. We also do a simple craft or coloring page that helps kids develop creativity & motor skills, & occasionally (attendance permitting) other activities such as parachute play. This event is geared towards preschoolers, but older or younger kids are welcome to attend as well.

Play & Learn May 23rd 9:30-11am N4013 Hwy. 45, Antigo. Play & Learn is a weekly play group program for parents, caregivers & children from birth to age 5. Staff will provide a parent lesson, an activity for parents & children to do together.  The activity will build skills for school readiness & milestone achievement. Quarterly Ages & Stages questionnaires are made available to parents & caregivers to assist families in helping their children to reach age based development milestones. Post Lake Memorial Day Weekend Bullhead Fishing Tournament May 24th-26th PLIA Building, W8684 Cty. Rd. K, Elcho. The Post Lake Memorial Day Weekend Bullhead Fishing Tournament starts anytime on Friday and ends with a weigh-in at noon on Sunday at the PLIA building.  Fish anywhere on Upper and Lower Post Lakes. Prizes for the most total weight caught. Categories for adult and children. Some of the catch will be smoked and eaten. Town of Langlade Fire Department Fundraiser May 26th 3-9pm Northwoods Inn, N8905 Hwy. 55, Pickerel. The Town of Langlade Fire Department will be holding a fundraiser on Sunday, May 26, 2019.  The Sundowners will be playing country rock music from 4-9 pm.  There will also be food, bean bag competition, raffles, kid activities, and much more. Antigo Memorial Day Parade May 27th 8am Meet at the Hudson Street Bridge for a Service of Remembrance for the American service people who died at sea. Floats & walking units will meet at 9am at Eastview Medical & Rehab located at 729 Park Street. The parade will travel west on 5th Avenue to the courthouse to the Vietnam Memorial.

Langlade County Community Ceramics, a non-profit painting group that meets every Monday and Friday from 9am-Noon at Sts. Mary & Hyacinth, Classroom 8, 819 3rd Ave., Antigo.  Class cost is $3.00, to cover paint and anyone is welcome. We also take art-related field trips four times a year.

Antigo MOPS (Mothers Of Preschoolers), a chapter of an international group that offers encouragement and support to moms of kids ages 0-5. We have relevant and interesting speakers, fun crafts, yummy food and free childcare while we meet.
