QPR is similar to learning the fundamentals of CPR to save lives. Training participants will learn three simple steps to help save a life from suicide. Play & Learn May 11th 9:30-11am N4013 Hwy. 45, Antigo. Play & Learn is a weekly play group program for parents, caregivers and children from birth to age 5. Enbridge's Dakota Pipeline Revisited (Words Worth Hearing) May 11th 6-8pm T.B. Scott Library Community Room, 106 1st St., Merrill. A grassroots movement arose in the spring of 2016 to protest the construction of Energy Transfer Partners' Dakota Access Pipeline through the Standing Rock Indian Reservation and across the Missouri River. Paul DeMain, James Botsford, John Endrizzi, and Melissa Lewis, each of whom have experiences and perspectives to share on this movement, will recount their experiences and invite discussion as to lessons learned and the broader societal and public policy implications of the Dakota Access Pipeline protest.

Moose Lake Annual Spring Cleanup May 13th at 9-10am.  Put on a pair of gloves, your boots and grab a rake and garbage bag.  Get a little dirty.  That’s OK.  Our goal is the cleanup of Moose Lake’s shoreline, roadways and parking areas.  Start at the location of your choice.  Meet at the boat launch at 10:15am to document project success and for pictures.

Helen Keller: A life Nearly Lost May 15th 6-8pm T.B. Scott Library, 106 1st St., Merrill. Jessica Michna of Racine will portray Helen Keller in the Friends of T.B. Scott Library's Annual Program. Michna has become widely known for her riveting portrayals of First Ladies and other historic women as well as her fictitious characters.
