Informational Meeting for the TrANS (Transportation Alliance for New Solutions) Program July 21st or July 28th 10-11:30am 3051 Sand Lake Rd., Crandon. Come to this informational meeting for a FREE 6 week construction class that will begin August 10th. Through this program, Forward Service Corporation provides services to prepare individuals for employment as laborers in the road construction industry & building trades. To be in the program you must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation & be 18 yrs. or older. There are no income requirements. Immunization Clinic July 22nd 9am-4pm Langlade County Health Department, 1225 Langlade Road, Antigo. Immunization clinic is available to provide childhood immunizations & adult vaccinations. The vaccinations are FREE to children 2 months - 18 years of age if you have Medical Assistance or no insurance. Adult vaccinations are available some with a minimal fee or FREE if you have MC or MA. 31st Annual Summer Twister July 23rd-25th Wildlife Campground, N4597 Willow Lane, Birnamwood. Wisconsin's largest veteran’s support rally sponsored by veterans. Free camping, free beer, free root beer, over 30 vendors, 10 Live bands all weekend. POW/MIA ceremony at noon on Saturday. Games & entertainment. Biker games & bike show. Northwoods Summer Art Tour July 24th-26th 10am-5pm Northwoods Galleries & Studios. Stretching from Presque Isle & Land O Lakes in the north to as far South as Irma & Elcho, the tour encompasses Vilas, Oneida, Iron, Langlade & Lincoln Counties. Visitors are invited to enjoy self-guided drives through the scenic back roads of the Northwoods & stop at over 30 studios & galleries of area painters, photographers, potters, furniture makers, wood carvers, jewelers & fiber artists. There will be artist demonstrations & an opportunity to purchase original work directly from the artist. Forest County Relay for Life July 24th 5-11pm, Cardinal Park, Crandon. The public is invited to join hundreds of volunteers & participants at this community event.
