Doloris Meister, 82

Doloris Meister, of Deerbrook, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was 81 years old. She was born on December 12, 1934 in Wausau a daughter of the late Herman and Emma (Wolf) Wicke. She married Harold Meister on July 29, 1953 at Zion Lutheran Church in Easton. He survives.

She dairy farmed with her husband in Pearson and was an amazing cook at home and for several area businesses. She had a heart of gold and often put others before herself.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, quilting, flowers, canning, fishing, casino trips, camping, restoring old furniture and treasure hunting/thrifting.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harold of Deerbrook; four daughters, Agnes Meister of Pearson, Susan (Barry) Thiel of Elcho, Penny (Trace) Zima of Antigo, Tammy (Mary) King of Elcho; four sons, Gregory Meister of Ham Lake, MN, Paul (Denise) Meister of Bryant, Jon (Lori) Meister of Pearson, Roger (Mary) Meister of Deerbrook; thirteen grandchildren, Tori Buck of Holbrook, Mass., Tracy Wilson of Dallas, TX, Travis Meister of Pearson, Jason Meister of Pearson, Tawnie Beer of Neva, Lena Hurley of Green Bay, Kayla Strong of Appleton, Nicole Meister of Antigo, Jayme Meister of Virginia, Ashley Tapper of Wittenberg, Jenny Rose Meister of Wittenberg, McKenzie(Mickey)Zima of Antigo, Jacob Meister of Neva; and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her three brothers, William, Ernest and Albert.

A funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Karen Tews officiating. Burial will take place in Pearson Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Langlade County Humane Society.
