Donald L. Parmer, 56, Mattoon, died on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born on September 5, 1958 in Antigo, the son of Leland and Irma (Becker) Parmer of Mattoon.
On May 5, 1979, Donald was united in marriage to Cindy Borchardt in the town of Wausau. She survives.
Donald was a mechanic and most recently worked for Wittenberg Hardwoods. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and playing cards, especially Rummy. Donald was an avid Green Bay Packer, Milwaukee Brewer and Wisconsin Badger fan.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy; parents, Leland and Irma; five children, Nicholas (Lacy) Parmer, Mattoon, Jeremy (Allison) Parmer, Wausau, Curtis Parmer, Mattoon, Kurby (Octaviano) Enriquez-Genis, Mattoon and Samantha (Efren) Castellanos, Bowler; 11 grandchildren; 1 step-grandchild; four siblings, Debra (Randy) Koeppel, Deerbrook, Dennis (Gerry) Parmer, Pulaski, Denise (Joe) Harris, Conover and Daniel (Gina) Parmer, Birnamwood.
Donald was preceded in death by a sister, Mary and a brother, Douglas.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
