Dream Up! Taskforce Launches "Adopt a Provider" Program to Support Local Child Care

The Dream Up! Taskforce is excited to announce the launch of its new program, "Adopt a Provider," a simple yet impactful way for the community to directly support the vital work of child care providers in Langlade and Lincoln Counties. 

"Quality child care empowers parents to fully participate in the workforce and plays a vital role in sustaining a healthy local economy.” said Angie Close, Executive Director of the Langlade County Economic Development Corporation. "Investing in child care is truly an investment in our community’s future, and Adopt a Provider provides individuals and businesses a tangible way to contribute.”

How the "Adopt a Provider" program works:

1. Choose a Need: Visit Childcaring.org/AdoptProvider to view a current list of needs submitted by local child care providers in Langlade and Lincoln Counties. These needs range from essential supplies like bibs, cribs, and art materials to everyday necessities such as wipes, tissues, and paper towels. There are also opportunities to contribute towards larger projects like playground updates or to sponsor ongoing expenses like groceries, such as milk.
2. Connect with the Provider: Once a need is selected, the platform will facilitate a connection with the child care provider through Childcaring, Inc. to coordinate the donation or contribution.
3. Contribute to Their Success: By fulfilling a specific need, participants directly contribute to the provider's ability to offer a nurturing and enriching environment for children, ultimately helping keep costs down for families.

The Dream Up! Taskforce emphasizes that all listed needs come from local child care providers that are either licensed, certified, or exempt/monitored, ensuring that contributions directly benefit reputable and regulated programs.
