Five Antigo swimmers set personal bests, club records at Midwest Regionals in Minnesota

Five Antigo swimmers competed in the Midwest Regionals Swim Meet, held March 25th and 26th at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center, including Heather Arlen, Tristin Arlen, Mya Burt, Brett Farmer and Ryan Zima. These five competed with nearly 1,000 swimmers from across the Midwest, hailing from North Dakota, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan and South Dakota.

Some members of the Antigo Swim Club additionally swam at USA-sanctioned events with the Northern Lakes Aquatic Club (NLAC). Ryan Zima swam with NLAC at Regionals and the boys took 11th out of 57.

Mya Burt, along with Tristin and Heather Arlen, also competed as part of NLAC and took 1st out of 58.

“All the Antigo swimmers had a wonderful weekend in the pool and achieved many personal best times as well as club records,” the youth swimming coaches added.

Boys Swimming 13-14

Brett Farmer - 100Y Butterfly 58.08 - 2nd place*; 100Y Backstroke 1:01.23 - 5th place; 200Y IM 2:14.75 - 6th place*; 100Y Freestyle 53.10 - 7th place*; 100Y Butterfly 58.08 - 8th place*.

Girls Swimming 13-14

Boys Swimming 11-12

Girls Swimming 9-10
