Gingerbread House now a 'village'

Bruce O’Hearn became sole owner of the shop known as Gingerbread House in March, with his wife Leslie joining him as a co-owner in June.

O’Hearn, who has been with the shop for over two years, is now calling the business Gingerbread Village. He said the name change is designed to showcase his goal of what he would like the shop to become - a village.

He hopes to expand the store with additional vendors, and possibly even a food vendor.

Since taking sole ownership of the store, the O’Hearns have been offering old-fashioned candy, antique furniture, wood carvings, log chain saws, candles and other unique gift items to their customers for purchase.

Customers are also treated to free cookies and coffee while they shop.

The store, located at N4704 Hwy. 45, is open Wed. through Sat., 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Gingerbread Village encourages everyone to check out their Facebook page where they will share all their weekly specials.
